Hi Heatblur,

First of all, thank you for the long awaited TWS !!! The system works great and it clearly makes BVR combat a lot easier.

However I might have found a bug :

I start a 1v1 BVR fight against a Su-27 and I shoot my first missile at around 40Nm. Once the missile hits 16sec TTI, I turn cold, dive to the deck and re-extend while the bandit defeats the missile.

When I recommit, I need to look manually for the bandit which stayed hot and high, since I couldn't find him with the antenna elevation set to 0. So I asked Jester : scan elevation | altitude vs distance | 20Nm | 10'000ft.

At that point, the antenna elevation changes but Jester goes nuts at the back with some switches and I am unable to select PAL in case I don't find the target.

The workaround that I found was to go to RWS, change the elevation and then go back to TWS.

I would assume that as the RIO, if you wanted to change the elevation, you'd need to go to TWS-M, then click back on TWS-A ?

This just happened to me..Jester going crazy in the back with switches! I flew three sorties on the 104th today. On the first two sorties everything was working fine and I got a aim-54 kill using TWS-A on both of the first two flights..no problems. But on the third flight the TWS-A wouldn't stay centered on the incoming hostiles, it kept bouncing back to the far left tracking a group of friendlies (these were already IDed as friendlies and the hostiles were positively IDed as bad guys). I kept trying to manually move the radar back to the bandits, but jester kept going back to the friendlies. Then I just kept hearing a constant clicking sound like jester was flipping switches..the clicking sound never stopped. So again, first two flights had no problem..but the last flight the jester was losing his mind. Two other F-14 guys on teamspeak said they had experienced the same problem.

Exactly the same for me last night. Constantly tracking known friendlies then I made him change tws azimuth to where it needed to be and the clicking began. I honestly looked back to see if he was either flicking switches or typing an email on a mechanical keyboard. He wouldn't do anything I told him to do for awhile. Eventually it figured itself out after about 5 minutes and the clicking stopped and he was able to do what was asked to do. Don't know what made him stop the tweaking out though.

Just came down from the same diseater from server, be force to fire the Phoenix as ZUNI and almost fell victim to hostile PBB, I want to say Jester you AXXH%%E! = =+'' '

Also, it looks like datalink is not working as it should. In MP, I have friendlies on DL marked as bandits and I also have bandits not showing at all (no terrain and not notching the AWACS).

Anybody else ?

Yes i am experiencing this bug on a constant basis since the TWS Auto update, the TWS auto is really messing up the gameplay as well the weird AWACS system. But i realize that this TWS auto bug happens when you get jester to adjust scan elevation or azimuth even before or during an engagement. It has caused me to lose engagements many times and also disables your pilot ability to PAL, VSL or PLM accompanied by that crazy non stop switch flicking noise . I already e-mailed heatblur twice and also sent them a message on facebook. I really hope they will fix this bug and also give us the option to use TWS manual as per before this update as i personally prefer less interference from the auto system.

It happens very often to me that jester is going nuts on the switches when using TWA-A. So I stopped using it now untill they fix it.

When he goes nuts on the switches, you cant use any of the ACM modes eighter. So its kinda game breaking..

This bug is already reported in here, it's caused by trying to tell jester to change elevation while in TWS:A.

You need to switch to manual or RWS prior to telling him to change elevation, then you can swap back to auto.

How do you switch to manual?

In my case I never entered TWS-A in the first place, but when Jester was flipping switched madly I noticed that the radar antena was following some targets to the right automatically ... so it seems it entered into TWS-A without me commanding to do it.

If I remember correctly swapping to RWS and back to TWS should reset it to manual.

Check the other threads on it in here, they've got way more info.
