markturner1960 Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 (edited) Hi, I hope you don’t mind me starting a new thread, the official thread is a bit daunting to try and dig through at 276 pages..... I have just got the jet seat pad from Andre and managed to get it working. However from my initial impressions, it seems I am going to need to spend a bit of time getting it to work in a way that is not simply my seat vibrating. I also have a buttkicker, which When first installed worked very well, with an impressive array of effects. However it now appears broken and I am about to send it back for repair. After reading lots of positive reviews for the jet seat, I ordered thinking that the two would compliment each other, but currently am just using the new jet seat. First impressions are that the effects from the seat and SSA software all seem very similar, and I wondered what the settings are that happy users have for DCS, in particular the F18 and F16....this may save me some time . Engaging some 0f the effects just seem to make the seat vibrate annoyingly the whole time... Also, is it possible to run the buttkicker and seat together? And finally, the remote controller - the dial on the top does not seem to do anything in use, what do the other buttons do (apart from the power on, that’s obvious..) I pressed them, no effect? Currently, I am using the jet seat in USB mode only. =Buccaneer= Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Topsy. I think you received your jetseat at the same time I did - Friday 24th July? I have exactly the same setup as you. Buttkicker G2 and the Jetseat. You don't need to buy an actual PCI Soundcard. One of these will do (£7.99 from Amazon UK). 1. Sorry the image is so big! 2. Plug the buttkicker in to the green socket (audio out). 3. Windows sees this as "Speakers (USB Audio Device)" select this in the Sound Module Settings for the Dedicated Sound Card. 4. Trawling the internet of snake oil this morning. RL Pilots and the Gametrix manufacturer recommend/suggest turning G-Force Feeling Off (unticked).

You only need a second sound card to run SimShaker Sound module. If you aren't running the JetSeat through USB you are missing one of its biggest advantages of zone effects. ... For instance, I use USB headphones for my in game sound, my Realtek motherboard sound card for SimShaker Sound Module, and my HDMI monitor sound out for the rare cases I use regular speakers for my computer. Agreed on the G effects, I only recently turned it back on and only for my bass pucks that are mounted at my heels and knees. We'll see if I keep it on, but having a L/R channel will actually let you know which way you are rolling too (not sure if Buttkickets have this). The high AOA effect blends in too much otherwise so it is off for the seat and I have the 3rd Space Vest for specific G feedback now. markturner1960 Posted July 28, 2020 Author Posted July 28, 2020 The G effects deadzone works great, found on the 2nd page of settings, as its a great effect when you pull hard......just really annoying if it is on all the time.... Snake, my set up is almost exactly the same as yours Bucky, I also replied on your other thread, thanks for the input......
