tusler Posted December 29, 2008 Author Posted December 29, 2008 (edited) hi tusler ty for practice here is your mission, but with rain and the frigate at 37 knots--hope you do not mind. Cool, now add more planes and set triggers so we have to watch out. throw some wind in there too! I would remove the Fog, with it that thick no flight operations would be permitted in real life. The 500 ft ceiling cloud base looks great and the rest is good. Thanks for adding keep it up! Edited December 29, 2008 by tusler Ask Jesus for Forgiveness before you takeoff :pilotfly:! Tigrom Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 It's a bit stupid to say but i actually enjoy doing this kind of thing more than shooting at the tanks. Call me crazy, but its just fun.
airea Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Great missions, I landed on the carrier and the frigate in my first try, I am really happy now:) Now time to start learning the ABRIS thing:)
BakaNi Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Thank you for this mission, it turns out that I can actually land the Ka-80 after all! Unfortunately whenever I land on a ship, the chopper slides very slowly to the right, for no reason what so ever. I landed on the OHP and watched as my helo slid off the side and into the sea :( Any reason why this happens?

I landed on the OHP and watched as my helo slid off the side and into the sea :( Any reason why this happens? After landing, you have to engage the parking brakes (I dont know if there is one) or hold on the "w" key for wheel brakes... I dont which key combination locks the wheel brakes...
BakaNi Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I did that, the chopper still slid sideways for no reason. I've included a track, notice how the chopper slides to the right on both the aircraft carrier and the OHP (to it's doom).Slide on Landing.trk
airea Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 (edited) Then I dont know the reason of that, maybe a bug... After landing on the frigate, I shut all the engines and systems down. And guess what, I was not able to restart Ka-50 back, because there was no ground ac-dc power on the frigate:) Edited January 2, 2009 by airea
DanKurt Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I did that, the chopper still slid sideways for no reason. I've included a track, notice how the chopper slides to the right on both the aircraft carrier and the OHP (to it's doom). I always land on a moving ship with my parking brakes on. Obviously you have to make a controlled soft landing so as not to still have enough inertia to cause your heli to topple over. I also put engine into idle as soon as I am down.

And guess what, I was not able to restart Ka-50 back, because there was no ground ac-dc power on the frigate:) You can start the Ka-80 without ground power and purely off batteries, I do it every time as I can't be chored to mess around with ground staff. There is a slide to one side, of a few centimeters every few seconds

Yeah, it's not implemented. I left all possible lights and systems on with engines stopped without connecting it. 12 hours later i could just start it up, infinite batteries that is. Fighting for peace is like screwing for virginity.
Mapi Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 thx, for the mission. For the carrier landing, doint move over the lift, it is a hole !!! ;-/ Added red carrier: you can not make missions from a carrier, ka50 is not a marine chopper, "nice" realismen.... you must eat what you get.
Staybullex Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 How can I make this multiplayer so a few of us noobs can just go around flying?
