  1. Right now, as it is now, I think the KA50 is more fun in single play... I feel like im pretty invincible in the KA and have a much better situational awareness than in the Apache relying on George ..... but i play mostly on multiplayer servers. If we ever get the option to seat swap on multiplayer then I think my opinion will change..

  3. This is exactly what I want.. Im finding it very difficult to find pilots who want human CP/Gs on the servers right now, so I would like to be able to use both seats just as I do in the single player missions.
  4. DCS liberation and the upcoming dynamic campaign from DCS itself will give you unlimited missions to gorge on. Not to mention multiplayer servers and multi-crew co-op. You will not run out of things to do

  7. A functioning jammer and EW pod would be very nice.. The hornet is currently pretty underwhelming in A2A.

If you're only going to attack one unit it's probably not too bad, but the inability to define multiple SPIs up front and execute attack easily by quickly switching between them is where the HMI falls down. Switching in and out of multiple SOIs is terrible, error prone and just takes too long, even for people that know the flow. Oh well, if that what the true systems are, then good luck to the pilots that make it work.

Honestly the pilot workload with the A10II seems huge...the HOTAS setup seems so janky to me .. having to switch between steerpoints and markpoints, yadda yadda.. huge kudos to the guys that do this for real - but the HMI to me, is just janky. You can really see the "evolution" of systems from basic to where it is a now, and piling features on top of features instead of just starting it again and doing it properly. As someone with a keen interest in human machine interfaces (HMI) - the A10 seems a real exercise in how not to do it.
  10. Ive bought it .. can't fly it for sh.. going to need lots of practice i think.. the old black shark is a doddle compared to this.
  11. I am confused about what I need to buy in order to play Black Shark 2 online ... If I buy Black shark 2 but I do not have Lock on, or flaming cliffs, can I connect to games in which others are playing other aircraft (ie A-10, Frogfoot etc) and play in my black shark? Also do I need to download DCS World before I download Black Shark 2? (I have been a Black Shark 1 owner since release but am just coming back to the game now after a couple of years absence).

  13. i changed the load out on the first mission of the devils cross campaign.. be buggered if im going in without a TGP.
  14. yeh this mission annoys the heck out of me .. I arrive and circle at the CP and radio in, and he tells me "no further tasking available" and that im "free to go".. sigh... so I do some circle work and then head off towards the first IP and after the second or third radio in, he finally realises he has a use for me and gives me the details... from there it works reasonably smoothly, except the coordinates arn't exactly exact, and you need to do a few multiple passes, flying around the area until the convoy appears.. I even managed to kill two friendlies using mavs .. Oops... :( I eventually found the convoy, killed a couple, but sustained damage during the run and had to limp back to base.
  15. have we mentioned that the patch doesn't fix the claxon warning horror at engine startup with ground wind set?
  16. How do you get your HUD to display the recommended altitude for a steer point? Mine always says steer point number/DTS.
  17. Same for me. I tried the mission today. He gave me a coordinate of a convoy but did not send a "MSG" or produce a target for my TAD I *DID* check that I had set group and id to both 1 after I took off.

I tried this today and it worked fine for me .. set six marks using the targeting pod, set CDU to mark, made mavs my SOI, slaved to the first mark, hit the LCTRL-UP key to lock, fire, used steerpoint rocker switch to choose mark b, LCTRL-UP, fire, steerpoint to C, LCTRL-UP, fire...
  19. Thanks all who contributed.. I am now able to mark up a number of targets and prosecute them all in one run in. With both Mavs and JDAMS.. very impressed. yes. You can do it all without changing the SOI from the mav page, which makes it much quicker.
  20. indeed.. it's a very impressive piece of software.. to call it entertainment is really not allowing it to live up to its potential.. very well done team.
