Controller Setting info from GUI manual

Recommended Posts

Since we do not yet have a GUI manual for World and numerous questions keep coming up about configuring controllers, I have extracted the pertinent pages from the v1.1.1.1 DCS A-10C GUI manual to post here (attached). This is only those pages related to Options > Controls.

For those that want it, the latest A-10 GUI manual for DL from ED can be found here.

http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/documentation/dcs-a-10c_warthog_gui_manual_en/

I have not checked to see if this is the version that was included with v1.1.1.1 or an earlier version.

Hopefully, this will help aviod some confusion for newer folks.

EDIT: Btw, the GUI manual also contains the Mission Editor documentation (pre-Combined Arms of course but it is a place to start).

Why does the P-51 not have a Graphical User Interface download?

I looked in the download section for a Graphical User Interface guide

for the P-51 and did not see one.

I was hoping to read more about how to adjust my rudder

for my twist handle new X52 joystick.

I went to the axis tune panel

for the rudder and used these settings:

Joy_ X

Dead 15

Sat X 100

Sat Y 90

Curv 31

Joy_ RZ

Dead 25

Sat X 100

Sat Y 50

Curv 30

I really have no clue as to what Im doing, so

if anyone can give me some advice, I would

really appreciate it as now that I am using Sim

mode and not game mode, every time I try to take

off, my P-51 wants to spin to the left and I crash.

Only once was I able to take off and I dont know if

I used the wings to the right or joystick rudder or what.

I keep crashing and Im taking it easy on throttle. HELP

You find the manual in your DCS World installation folder in the Doc subfolder. It is the DCS User Manual EN.pdf.

But your issues are more likely not directly controller related. To me it seems rather, that your take off procedure is incorrect - you get into the air too early and the torque of the engine throws you off course. You need to gain more speed on the ground first.

Read up the procedure in the P-51 manual and if that does not help, post a track of your attempts in the P-51 forum.
