TurboHog Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 (edited) Hi, I'm unable to make RAIM predictions (MENU/GNSS/CALC). Can anyone confirm this? It looks like a bug. Destination aerodrome coordinates are not found and thus, the assessment cannot be made. I've tried multiple airports in Georgia and Russia. No luck. It does work for initial point RAIM predictions. Edit: Not really expecting an answer on this one as I can safely assume that most of the Ka-50 pilots never use this ABRIS function. However, trying out these things make you realize how detailed this sim is. I just hope that ED takes note and quickly fixes this (minor?) issue. (And takes a look at the BS2 bug thread) But it's probably hopeless :( Edited January 31, 2014 by TurboHog 'Frett'
Thymo Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Experienced this a while back. Will confirm if this is still active maybe this afternoon.
ZaltysZ Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I don't think RAIM prediction is broken. I think airfield database is. RAIM calculation screen expects up to 4 character callsign indicating airfield in ABRIS database, however most airfields has no callsign at all or has more than 4 characters as callsign in BS2 (1.2.7). It is very obvious if you go to NAV>SEARCH>AIRFIELD and cycle through airfields in database. Wir sehen uns in Walhalla.

RAIM predictions are indeed working, but it claims that no calculations can be made (ICAO Not Found in DB) for any other aerodrome than your starting aerodrome/FARP. ED please fix! BaD CrC Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Yes. This was reported at least in the 1.2.6, maybe 1.2.5. But it seems like it didn't make it to the bug log of ed. https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
ARM505 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I must say, RAIM prediction warning must surely come pretty far down the list in terms of whats needed in a combat sim. ED don't plan on doing all the coding for genuine RAIM warnings do they? Cost/benefit analysis would say no, but who knows...
BaD CrC Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Up for 1.2.8. https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
Erforce Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 It was reported by JG_smil in 1.2.3. I've tested this bug in 1.2.0 and added to my bug thread under CALC malfunction. BigfootMSR Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Here is a fix for the RAIM calculations: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/646047/ Just extract the folder into your DCS World folder and allow it to overwrite. This file contains a back up of the original just incase this introduces a host of other issues. Please let me know if you do though! P.s. It might take a couple of hours for the link to get updated. Mods have to check these things. :) 1 DCS: A10C Warthog JTAC coordinate entry training mission http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/99424/ DCS: Blackshark 2 interactive training missions http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=84612
