New to this, just installed the DSC program 1.2.7, game works fine but the CH Rudder Pedals are visible in the Options but aren't working in game. Rudders work with the keyboard commands but I can't seemed to activated the rudder pedals. They work fine in FSX. CH Yoke works fine.

Using windows 7 with AMD radeon HD 6900, 8 gb of ram, eyefinity with triple monitors.

Tried using different USB but no good. Un plugged and re plugged ... no good.

Any suggestions other than perhaps a corrupt download which took about 12 hours so I do not want to go there again.

Thanks for any help

ok, first, go to aircraft sim options in controls, click the drop down, select axis settings (usually in yellow), now you will probably find the three controllers sharing the same functions. click on a CH rudder function then click clear assignments box at top center (near drop down menu), then confirm.

After, you should see CH products not assigned to rudder functions. Click Rudder in the axis again, then move your legs right and left. It should register as an axis. confirm with the axis tune option. Click OK and ok agian to exit options, and you should be good.

Be advised this will always happen to the last update, so its a pain but it will usually work.

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Hi WildBillKelsoe

Thanks for the help. Initially the process never worked but I stayed with it and it finally excepted the input properly.

Followed your instructions perfectly but got nothing registered as an axis. I did clear the assignments for CH Peddles by selecting the rudder in the axis commands, selected clear assignments at the top column, and confirmed. Selected rudders again and moved the peddles to max and min positions several times but nothing got enabled. The CH peddles column ... rudder stayed blank. I did the process several times trying different things and I remember selecting axis assign, but not sure of the last few steps but all of a sudden they were enabled. Anyway they now work...thanks again.

glad it did. just keep in mind you'll do this allover again with any update. I use the same setup so I know the problem.

Cheers.

Don't know if you turn your PC completely on and off, or set it in sleepmode? I put set my PC to sleepmode often, and when I wake it again, the CH pedals aren't recognized properly. I then need to go to the CH Control Manager, click the calibrate/test button and press 'Rescan'. You can plug the USB cable out and back in too.

CH Rudder Pedals have a driverproblem which causes this lack of recognition.

Seriously? I've once set up my controls and never had to do that again, even after a few updates.

Same here, CH Throttle, stick, and pedals, working fine through all updates.

Hi KoeKe I turn the computer off but use a power management settings to go into sleep mode after 1 hour on non use, but that should not be related to my problem. I did try re calibrating with the CH Manager before posting with no positive result.

I now have another small issue with one of the practice missions so need to search for a solution or post another question in another thread...you may hear from me again but in a different area.

Maybe it has something to do with our computer setups.

Thanks all for the quick help

You can risk that windows or DCS can't find the pedals or other devices after a sleep, I never use it on my sim computer after I discovered this myself.
