I had to edit the LUA files to make flares assignable to a joystick. So is that reported issue from the open beta still not fixed?

I was able to assign the button to my stick (G940), and the button on the pedestal does move, but so far I haven't seen any flares... although I'm not sure if I've ever carried any flares either. Have to play around with it tonight.

This is fixed internally but I will enquire why it has not been pushed to the public build.

I can confirm that the flares do work, and since I cannot remember editing the .lua file to assign the joystick button, I must have done it the usual way. Maybe the assignment has been added in a recent update? I believe I let the sim regenerate my controller .luas after 1.2.7 was released.

 

The reason I haven't seen the flares before was indeed because they were not carried in the campaign missions.
