Scrim Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 As per the title, I have experienced that the Doppler completely stops functioning after a repair. Heading and such can't be adjusted, and it can't even be turned on.
1.JaVA_Platypus Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Are all of the circuit breakers in the "up" position? Happy Flying! :pilotfly:

1.JaVA_Platypus Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 It would be interesting to know what exactly happens during a "repair" in the field. Because of my take-offs and landings being rough sometimes, I determined that one or more of the antenna's of the doppler and/or radar altimeter system can be knocked off. I never bothered to wait for a repair, landing without those instruments is not very difficult. Happy Flying! :pilotfly:
ajax Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 This could be related to the same problem with the Ka-50 -- that is, the HUD or Doppler systems don't get repaired. This function was broken a couple of years ago and has not yet been fixed, much to the dismay of us Shark drivers.
