Mike Busutil Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 (edited) Do you find it best to turn off all of the autopilot modes when doing aerobatics? (Bank,Pitch, HDG) Leave them all on? Or are there certain modes you like to leave on and other's turned off? Kenta Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Nah, never turn off your autopilot. Just go into flight director mode. Failure is the mother of all success.
Irregular programming Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Don't go into flight director mode, just fly the aircraft and let the autopilot do the work for you.
Tone71 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Don't go into flight director mode, just fly the aircraft and let the autopilot do the work for you. Not for aerobatics, this isn't going to help. Windows 10 Home, Intel Core i7-9700K @ 4.6GHz, Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming (8GB VRAM) on 34" LG curved monitor @ 3440x1440, 32GB RAM, TrackIR 3 (with Vector Expansion), Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Combat Pedals, Thrustmaster Cougar MFDs.
karambiatos Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 turn the heading out pilot off and on, so you dont need to fight the rudder. the biggest issue is the trim and when you trim forward you cant pull the ingame joystick all the way back, oh good FFB hotas where art thou. A 1000 flights, a 1000 crashes, perfect record. =&arrFilter_pf[gameversion]=&arrFilter_pf[filelang]=&arrFilter_pf[aircraft]=&arrFilter_DATE_CREATE_1_DAYS_TO_BACK=&sort_by_order=TIMESTAMP_X_DESC"] Check out my random mods and things
Kenta Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Read these articles, to get an idea on how the autopilot and trimming works in the Ka-50. What is best for aerobatics will be simple to figure out after the reading. Oh and read everything in the series. http://www.simhq.com/_air13/air_429a.html http://www.simhq.com/_air13/air_428a.html Failure is the mother of all success.
