I work with the Russians and Ukrainians quite a bit when I'm deployed with my team. People often think that the eastern block types are a bit reserved and surly as they don't communicate much with the English teams on board ship.

But as has already been suggested, this is because they are a little uncomfortable with making mistakes when talking and using the English language. I've found them to be likeable and pleasant types on the whole and enjoy being on their vessels.

Anyway, that's real life, but I don't believe the English speaking forums are being 'punished' in anyway... that would be counter productive for the developers as they need to sell us English speakers their products.

This is surely true, but it is valid for all the people all around the world whose native language is not English :smilewink:

I think it true for anyone trying to communicate in a language that isnt their native tongue :)
