I need to learn to live with using my Track IR 5. I have the Pro Clip. I have had it for years. I've used it some. The thing throws me.

I have a profile that is a symmetrical parabolic curve that works fairly well and slows down the movement somewhat.

I see in Axis Commands within Options/Controls there are settings to setup Track IR.

How is this accomplished? Looking for a how-to tutorial.

Thanks.

IIRC TrackIR is auto-configured in DCS. There is no need to play with its configuration there (unless you want to use head-movement for i.e. throttle-control). Just set-up axis and button-controls in TrackIR-software, and you are done...

My TIR profile is totally linear. no deadzones and no curving.

That's what works best for me.

The advantage is that it has the same response in all of the 360° so its easier to keep track of a bandit even at 5 and 7 o'clock.

there is a template called linear in the software which i used to get started.

Thank a lot bro!

Np :) For best result use speed: 1 and smooth: 15(That is what i prefer, test around and see for yourself)

This profile is the best profile that you will ever find on the face of the planet. Every axis is hand tuned by me. This profile started off as a personal profile for IL2 CLOD in a BF109 but it has proven the be the best profile for every situation.

I think you're half right. To get the best profile I find you need to do it yourself, hand tune it to whatever suits you, but your profile will not necessarily suit everyone.

I agree with Svend, start linear and go from there.
