Sceptre Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 (edited) Hi all, I just reinstalled DCS World 1.2.7 fresh with all my modules (which is everything except Combined arms and Mi-8 Hip). However, when I go to activate my Black Shark 2 copy in the loading screen, (I have the BS1 Upgrade Version bought a long time ago) It says "you must enter the correct serial number" or something along those lines even though I copied the serial number found on the DCS purchase page. I haven't had a problem activating any of my other modules, either. I even tried downloading Black Shark 2 version 1.2.7 straight off the DCS page. Is this something to do with the fact that I'm using the upgrade version? I did make sure I downloaded the upgrade version and installed it into DCS World. (I do still own the disc copy of BS1 but it didn't prompt me to enter the Black Shark 1 folder or anything) Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks! EDIT: Just found now that when I try reinstalling Black Shark 2 Upgrade Version, it says I must have Black Shark 1 installed even though I do. :/ Edited April 26, 2014 by Sceptre RTX 2070 8GB | 32GB DDR4 2666 RAM | AMD Ryzen 5 3600 4.2Ghz | Asrock X570 | CH Fighterstick/Pro Throttle | TM MFDs | TrackIR 5
Sceptre Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 OK I fixed this issue, for those of you who have this problem also, all you need to do is make sure you have Black Shark 1 installed in the correct path and it must be activated. Just run a mission to activate it. When you install BS2 into DCS World, make sure that you have selected the "Black Shark 2 Upgrade International Key" or the Russian one, and then use your serial number when asked for it. Enjoy :) RTX 2070 8GB | 32GB DDR4 2666 RAM | AMD Ryzen 5 3600 4.2Ghz | Asrock X570 | CH Fighterstick/Pro Throttle | TM MFDs | TrackIR 5

falcon_120 Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Hello, I have recently upgraded my cpu and motherboard, so I have had to installed DCS World and the modules again. Every module has activated without any problem except for the Blackshark 2 upgrade that says this message: "Activation denied by server. Invalid Hardware Code. Make sure the Serial Number used is valid for the product you are trying to activate, generate a new Hardware Code and try again. " I have Blackshark 1 installed and activated but in a different Hard drive(in case this matters) What do I have to do?
falcon_120 Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Problem solved, just remove the blackhshark 2 and reinstall choosing DCS blackshark 1 to 2 upgrade international key. I have one activation left less but it's ok.
