Co Pilot Radio Compass Indicator

Not sure if its a bug, but when I set my radio compass indicator to ADF the copilots direction needle points 180 degrees in the other direction from where my needle is pointing. Is this how it is supposed to be or is it a bug?

 

Sorry if this has already been posted. I looked around and did not see this issue.

List them then. It's alright saying something but back it up. Imho the huey is fairly polished.

I know mate but tons are an exaggeration. Sure we want to see EGT properly modeled etc, but this forum seems to attract negativity on a scale unparalleled in my experience.

 

When I do look at the bugs list most seem concerned with MP which really is down to ED and a whole lot of bugs are reported by people who have "pilot error" as opposed to bugs per se

 

As I said though it is only my opinion and perhaps my original reply was a little sharp and impolite for which I apologise:smilewink:

I too hate it when people say "Thats wrong" or "Thats broken" and then don't back it up with specifics. If you know something is wrong or broken, elaborate specifically on it so that other people can learn something.

 

Just declaring an entire module full of bugs and wandering off is obnoxious and completely unconstructive towards fixing anything, and makes the forums an inhospitable, bitter and angry place to be.

 

If you're going to post about bugs, post about them to educate people, not to simply bitch about a module being "broken."

OK, not a bug per se, but rather an omission, is the still lacking Huey mech heat / friction damage model. Specifics are the chopper losing, say, its gearbox oil reserve and / or pressure: the temp gauge shows red after awhile as it should, but you can still happily fly on ad infitum.

 

As you guys said, people just shouting "this is c**p" without backing their claims up in any way is BS and only serves in lowering the overall tone of this board. But still, even the UH-1H isn't complete yet... and the devs should be reminded about that at least occasionally IMO :music_whistling:

Another annoying thing is when people hijack - say a thread on the Huey co-pilot radio compass indicator, and post something totally unrelated - like - oh I dunno - the Huey damage model!

 

How is anyone supposed to keep track of any bug report if it is lost among other non-related stuff?

You are not helpfull - not for the guy you replied to, not to anyone else who might be interested in this bug. Why is that so? We get it, you are annoyed by that one UHF ADF bug/missing feature, but what does it give you if you now browse the forums for related topics .... just to prove your point that the Huey is riddled of bugs?

 

Somewhat helpful would have been something like "Its a bug, see posting thisandthat". Then everyone could see what it is all about, if it might be fixed or not after that year or if perhaps some workarounds are available. Or whatever.

 

But such ego-boosting here ... and you are really surprised that ppl jump at you? (well, they did not, they just pointed out already what I wrote here as well).

I think the tone in this particular forum is usually fairly reasonable, considering the bugs which remain are often longstanding and in some cases fairly serious.

 

The engine limitations can't be easy to implement, but I've been able to blow up the P-51 engine for ages now. :)

 

The NR/N2 not splitting in autorotation is quite serious to me and was reported a long time ago in testing.

 

Don't know if the lighting rheostats are still knackered (haven't loaded up DCS for a while now and even longer since I loaded a night mission) but that has been around forever.

 

Is the external load still having problems at the moment? Again, not sure as I haven't touched it for a while.

 

Now the HSI indication is 180 out.

 

Even though it appears that the UH-1H has dropped to the bottom of the priority list (fair enough, BST is a company and companies need revenue which patching doesn't deliver) I'm not too bothered by all of this, at the end of the day we still have the best simulation of the UH-1H available. :)

 

Personally though, I've stopped buying modules.

I don't know about 'very angry', seems an over-reaction.

 

It's very good, despite a few (not tons of) bugs and incomplete features.

 

You won't find a better UH-1H sim.

So Huggy, you say that I could leave the governor in EMER all the time to have all the available power and still the engine would not suffer any damage? If that is the case, then the Huey is no simulator rather than a complex game.
