9.JG27 DavidRed Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 i really appreciate the pace of updates ED has maintained in the past.also that you constantly see improvements in one or the other field...but what about actually writing proper change logs? i didnt download the beta version this time, so 128 was a surprise for me.. first, something which is very annoying is, that all my controls are gone for the P51, that and my old control lua files are not recognized by the game anymore...so that means, setting them up from scratch again, with all the three way switches on the warthog throttle thats quite a pain,...and a small line, a WARNING, in the change log would have been very appreciated!!! besides, the P51 now not only seems to have tracers decreased, in the changelog, but now there really seems to be a difference in flight behaviour too...rudder feels different, and stall characteristics seem changed as well...
sobek Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 besides, the P51 now not only seems to have tracers decreased, in the changelog, but now there really seems to be a difference in flight behaviour too...rudder feels different, and stall characteristics seem changed as well... Have you checked all the realism settings? Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
cichlidfan Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 There was not a warning about control configs in the Open Beta change log either. 9.JG27 DavidRed Posted April 28, 2014 Author Posted April 28, 2014 Have you checked all the realism settings? yes, everything still on full real...still, rudder isnt as sensitive anymore it seems, and in general, i seem to can pull harder to stall it, and dont have to be as gentle anymore on the stick to avoid a stall...
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted April 28, 2014 Author Posted April 28, 2014 besides, now after a couple of more dogfights....there seems to be work done on the effects as well...burning planes for example...the smoke doesnt seem to be as thick anymore...i also noticed, that debris from the 190, like a wing, fall down to the ground way quicker now, than the main-part of what is left of the plane... also, lightening,....not 100% sure what it is, but there seems to be a change as well...
msalama Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I don't think they've modified the Stang FM in any way. I just took her for a flight and I can't detect any changes at all, although it's admittedly been a while since I've really flown her in any meaningful capacity. But still... The DCS Mi-8MTV2. 59th_LeFty Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2053590#post2053590 BTW - what does that mean Predaor radar was removed? It won't detect units in ffog of war? Or there was RWR signal from it? [sIGPIC]http://www.forum.lockon.ru/signaturepics/sigpic5279_1.gif[/sIGPIC] I could shot down a Kitchen :smartass:
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted May 2, 2014 Author Posted May 2, 2014 I don't think they've modified the Stang FM in any way. I just took her for a flight and I can't detect any changes at all, although it's admittedly been a while since I've really flown her in any meaningful capacity. But still... they definitely have changed it....after some more tests, i was surprised that now can pull the stick fully back, and the plane will not go into a spin, at least not immediately...before you could that only, with fully apllied opposite rudder...
msalama Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 they definitely have changed it OK, then submit a bug report / enquiry with data supporting your suspicions and we shall see what the response is. The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
howie87 Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I tested the 'stang last night (TF-51D) and didn't noticed any changes. Still snap rolls for me if I pull the stick all the way back. Maybe your control config changed?
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted May 2, 2014 Author Posted May 2, 2014 well, first i talk about the p51 not the tf51-maybe there is a difference? but the p51 doesnt snap roll like it did before if you pull on the stick until its all the way back...control profile is just like it was all the time,..no deadzone no curves.
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted May 2, 2014 Author Posted May 2, 2014 OK, then submit a bug report / enquiry with data supporting your suspicions and we shall see what the response is. i never said this is a bug, and therefore i will not submit a bug report...all im saying is, that the p51 now behaves differently.
Flagrum Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 well, first i talk about the p51 not the tf51-maybe there is a difference? but the p51 doesnt snap roll like it did before if you pull on the stick until its all the way back...control profile is just like it was all the time,..no deadzone no curves. For me, it does. Have you checked the Options->Special settings? And the game mode settings?
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted May 2, 2014 Author Posted May 2, 2014 yes the options and everything else is fine...still everything on full real no auto rudder or take off assistance.and yes Flagrum, it will still snap roll, but not as it did before...prior to this patch, there was no way for me to avoid a snapp roll, except with fully applied rudder, when i pulled the stick all the way back...now its no problem at all...you cant just smack the stick back like a maniac though!then it will of course still enter a spin.but if you do it gentle, you are able to pull the stick all the way back and keep it there.the plane will enter a stall, but there is no wing drop.so its kind of gliding towards the ground...
msalama Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 So what's the verdict then, changed or not? The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
