lmp Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I would really appreciate it if some work went into the cockpit of this otherwise great module. As of now it simply looks worse than other 6 DOF cockpits in the game. Here are some examples: "Overflowing" reticle Weird lighting on the overhead panel Badly joined cockpit elements with low resolution textures Strange blue spot More weird lighting Sky (I think) showing on the levers and cables
howie87 Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Agreed. I think the Mi8 is playing second fiddle to the F-86F and Huey.
Paradox Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 It's still in beta, these are things that I expect to change for the final release. Good work pointing them out though, I hadn't noticed half of these. I'll never be able to unsee the overflowing reticule now...
Mustang Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Expect improved cockpit lighting/texture colours etc when this pit is used in EDGE, i reckon some of these glitches are a result of the limitations of the current (older) graphics engine.
Scrim Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Familiar with the concept of "Beta"? I can't complain about the reticle being slightly outside the glass, I mean seriously, don't we remember for just how long the pilot's rocket sight on the Huey was nothing short of a red HUD bullseye? As for the rest, no offense, but it really does seem like nitpicking, considering that BST makes no secret of the fact that the Mi-8 is still far from complete.

This is the "Art Issues" part of the "Bugs and Problems" forum. If you don't want to read about bugs and problems with the art of the module, you don't have to visit it.
