Consider that using the "Autopilot" with the UH-1H is something like cheating. I never used the Autopilot because the real huey does not have one.

But to answer your question: Autopilot works fine in 1.2.8. In the Options menu you have choose "Special", then UH-1H, finally mark "Autopilot availability". In flight use [LWin+A] to enable/disable Autopilot, Attitude Hold [LShift + LAlt + A], Level flight [LCtrl + A] and Orbit [LAlt + A].

The real Huey has a copilot which is more "usefull" then our auto-pilot. Therefore it is no cheating. It is rather a feature that helps filling a gap.

So you can see it also.

I realize that it may be considered a cheat...but I also agree with the idea that an co-pilot is supposed to exist. I was just checking features and thought it might be a bug.

I was setting up my Warthog HOTAS. I had the special auto-pilot box checked but I guess I needed to reset it after the last beta patch which is what I have done and it works fine now.

thanks!

Yeah, in real life I can tell my co-pilot to come down ten feet, or hover over there. I wouldn't let this guy (autopilot) touch the controls within 100ft of anything. ;)
