_Dredd Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 I noticed this evening command LAlt-C enables cockpit mouse cursor, no switches or dials look to be interactive as yet though. Zabuzard Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Yes they're working on the clickable cockpit, atm we only have the professional flight model (realistic flight physics).
chromium Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Yes they're working on the clickable cockpit Interesting, I missed the annuncement... where they told this? :) (thanks ;) ) Author of DSMC, mod to enable scenario persistency and save updated miz file Stable version & site: https://dsmcfordcs.wordpress.com/ Openbeta: https://github.com/Chromium18/DSMC The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.
Zabuzard Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Dunno exactly, maybe I'm wrong ô.o But they're working on russian PFMs :D
chromium Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Uk, but PFM is not ASM, PFM is the flight model, not the cockpit :) Author of DSMC, mod to enable scenario persistency and save updated miz file Stable version & site: https://dsmcfordcs.wordpress.com/ Openbeta: https://github.com/Chromium18/DSMC The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. LowLee Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Lalt-c is an old function of LockOn, that has nothing to do with clickable cockpits.. Fletto i muscoli...e sono nel vuoto [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Witchking Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Yes they're working on the clickable cockpit, atm we only have the professional flight model (realistic flight physics). This is not true. While they said that it is an eventual possibility, its not confirmed to be actively worked on right now. ED has other things on the horizon right now. Davis0079 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Flaming cliffs is not a DCS level of fidelity....meaning not super accurate radar , startup, shutdown, clickable cockpit, blah, blah, blah.... ....this has been known since the beginning...we are all waiting for a "high fidelity" "DCS" fast mover..... ...ED (eagle dynamics) made the ka-50 to show how to make a proper helo....they made the A-10 to show how to make a proper ground attack...they made the P-51 to show accurate prop planes....we are all hoping for a F18 by ED, a 3rd party mig-21, a F-16, a tie fighter and a star destroyer.....you can read alot of old post to bring yourself up to speed on this subject...... It only takes two things to fly, Airspeed and Money.
cichlidfan Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Dunno exactly, maybe I'm wrong ô.o But they're working on russian PFMs :D Here is the statement from Belsimtek's website: We are considering the possibility of creating a complete avionics model with clickable cockpit and accurate systems modeling. This would be a major development however, so a final decision has not yet been made. chromium Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 that is the "maybe" planning to realize the entire ASM also, I was thinking about a "quick & dirt" clickable update. A modder that I knew already told me that the actual cockpit is clickable-ready.
