jetstorm96 Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Hi guys, I am running V 1.2.8 from steam and have come asking for assistance with the sling loading as there are no missions or tutorials available. So I hit the forums for answers and found that you need in my understanding to use \ to initiate the radio menu and select an option for cargo before you go and pick it up. I do not have a cargo option at all on my radio, I have tried placing cargo on a random airport, I tried the cargo camera and it did not turn on. ON ground or in the air and when I press Hook/Unhook nothing appears as a notification. Yet if I press Autohook it comes up saying auto and I cannot turn it off? This may be hard to visualize but I am sure others may have my issue. So can someone please, give me a detailed explanation on how to get this to work. Thankyou very much -Aaron:smilewink:
shagrat Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 1 add a static object, Category 'cargos', type 'Cargo1' 2 activate 'can be cargo' in the Static object screen and choose a reasonable weight... 300kg for example. 3 fly near the Cargo, open comms, select all cargoes and hit according to Cargo# Now you should get a smoke marker at the selected cargo and can activate cargo cam in the air. Now land close(!!!) - as in a few meters - from the Cargo, and hook it (you'll see a linefrom your helicopter to the cargo). Alternative, hover above the cargo for 5 sec. 5 take off carefully and if you activate auto unhook as soon as the cargo hits the ground it is released. You can unhook manually as well... even bomb drop cargo :D Shagrat - Flying Sims since 1984 - Win 10 | i5 10600K@4.1GHz | 64GB | GeForce RTX 3090 - Asus VG34VQL1B | TrackIR5 | Simshaker & Jetseat | VPForce Rhino Base & VIRPIL T50 CM2 Stick on 200mm curved extension | VIRPIL T50 CM2 Throttle | VPC Rotor TCS Plus/Apache64 Grip | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals | WW Top Gun MIP | a hand made AHCP | 2x Elgato StreamDeck (Buttons galore)
