Flagrum Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 An EMP destroyed the GPS/GLONASS satellites ... ... how would I archive that for a mission? Or at least, what would be a minimum mod to disable the GPS functionality both, for A-10Cs and Ka-50s?
BigfootMSR Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 It might be possible in single player to set a trigger to disable a particular aircraft system, but it will not work in multiplayer as those triggers don't work in mulitplayer. Beyond that, I don't think its possible to do given the current trigger system. That being said, I would maybe see if somebody with some scripting know how might be able to do it using a script of some kind. EagleTwoThree Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I don't have an answer for you, but the premise is completely unrealistic. Instead, how about there is a local source jamming or spoofing GPS (very realistic, unfortunately), and until it is destroyed, GPS can't/shouldn't be used. then Intel i9 9900k | 32 GB RAM | EVGA RTX 2080Ti | 2x 1TB Samsung 970 Evo
winz Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Even if you could, you wouldn't see any difference. The A-10C has inertial navigation, and Ka-50 has it as well and as gyro drift is not modelled their precission would not suffer. The Valley A-10C Version Revanche for FC 3
Looney Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 That and if GPS were to get spoofed, all military aircraft use an encrypted channel of the GPS system so they would instantly know something went awry.
