Rise Tragedy Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Today I updated my updater to version 2.0.14 or whatever the latest version they pushed out was. About 20 minutes later, I go and launch my game AGAIN, and nothing happened. Tried multiplayer. Nothing. Mojeaux Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 No don't give him the run around! The Updater is failed AGAIN on my flying machine too! This is not the first time this exact problem has reared it's ugly head! They made anouther mistake and as usual there will not be a mention of the error....They had fixed it in the 128 but now it's back! You will need to contact support and do the convoluted theorem untill you get it fixed..Hay on the bright side at least this time single player will go ahead and start up..:cry: Last time it was a dead game stopper the problem it would put the skids on the single player all together.(= crash to desk top)... I found out that if I disconnected the ethernet cable from the flying machine then started DCS single player I could go into single player and build missions and adjustments..however for a month I was unable to fly with my buds that had updated.. Lotsa talk about bit finder was the issue but it never was that was merely a bunch of miss information to distract from the real issue..They fixed the updater for a few updates that went through with no problem but now it's back...tech support will help you eventually on the temp fix with your .exe to the single player Hopefully they will fix the next patch... That is, there's no problems with the new updater (which is 2.4.1). Launcher.exe quits immediately, that's not right. Posting Saved Games\DCS\Logs\me.log may help. Multiplayer icon starts DCS.exe directly, but it quits immediately as well, dcs.log located near me.log may help. So, there are definitely problems with starting DCS for you, but they are NOT related to the updater. Logs will tell more, but most probably there's something else changed on your system. graphic driver for example, or AV rules... Dmitry S.
