Llucmk Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Hi there. I'm a Steam user and first of all, i would like to know when will be the Fw-190 for Pre-purchase or for buy it, because if the 20% it's only right now until the Pre-purchase period finishes... i would like to buy it now in steam. I have all my module except a P-51D that i bought on the website a long time ago. But now, the Website keys doesn't work in steam, so here it comes my second Answer. Will the keys from the backers of flyable planes selected will be only for the website or comaptible with steam and website? I would like to have them on steam... I'll make a resume: -¿When will be the Fw-190 F9 for pre-purchase in steam? -¿Will be the Flyable planes keys from backers compatible with Website & Steam? Thank you very much for your attention.:pilotfly:
Paganus Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 The current situation is that STEAM will no longer merge keys purchased from the DCS store. Until this changes, no key currently purchased from the DCS store can be simply loaded into STEAM. Your old P-51 key would have been merged, I would have thought. As far as I know DCS has not announced when the FW will show up on STEAM.
20thBG_Blackwolf Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 How about using DCS without steam? I bought A-10 through steam a long time ago before DCS world. So when World came out I just loaded it up to my computer and the A-10 key from steam transfered right over no problem. Sure you lose out on the steam things like chat and screenshots but steam is not needed for DCS. BSD Discord , BSD Website If it doesn't hover, it just sucks and blows

Steam downloads the updates automatically and i use a lot steam for other purposes. That's why i would like to get my Flyable choices compatible with steam and non-steam.

OK, it doesn't update in the background (like Steam does), you actually have to RUN it to update, but there is no manual updating left, as it used to be in the olden days of yore.
