Astro Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Is it a known problem in DCS that the grass flickering/shimmer like there is a graphic problem? or is it just me?! I have all graphic maxed out and I use a GTX Titan Black as my GPU. please help if some one knows this problem?
blackbelter Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 You must be really new to DCS... Maybe EDGE can solve the problem.
Astro Posted July 17, 2014 Author Posted July 17, 2014 Yes I'm totally new.... I think that you can see that with my only 7 posts... Okey so there is a known problem? Okey. Thanks!
zaelu Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 You can try this attached mod. The only problem is that the original texture is rectangular not square and the game tries to square it so the grass is now elongated... Somehow the original texture does not get to be elongated... dunno why. Extract the folder from Archive inside you _Mods folder and use JSGME to install it. if you don't know how to use JSGME please read the thread with explanations... is very simple. Alternatively can be installed manually but I wouldn't recommend.y Grass Texture - test.zip [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] I5 4670k, 32GB, GTX 1070, Thrustmaster TFRP, G940 Throttle extremely modded with Bodnar 0836X and Bu0836A, Warthog Joystick with F-18 grip, Oculus Rift S - Almost all is made from gifts from friends, the most expensive parts at least
mrmertz Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Yes I'm totally new.... I think that you can see that with my only 7 posts... Okey so there is a known problem? Okey. Thanks! I'm new too, so lots to learn after being out of computing let alone sims for over 6 months due to health issues and some side effects nearly make it impossible for me to perform physically as I should be, but that aside I see lots of promises with EDGE including improved graphics so I'd be tempted to wait and see what it delivers. Sound like a major improvement and step up for the future with DCS. Trying to boost my CPU up some notches already just to keep on the "safe side" after reading all the things it will I prove upon too! Can't wait. Hopefully improves and fixes some issues more than it causes, though I have no doubts it will. Fingers crossed.
