uboats Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Zoom in. not zoom in but move back the head position [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My DCS Mods, Skins, Utilities and Scripts | Windows 10 | i7-4790K | GTX 980Ti Hybrid | 32GB RAM | 3TB SSD | | TM Warthog Stick | CH Pro Throttle + Pro Pedal | TIR5 Pro | TM MFD Cougar | Gun Camera: PrtScn |
Flagrum Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 not zoom in but move back the head position But if you move away from something, that makes it look smaller ...?
Sceptre Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Moving back the head position in DCS is not the same as zooming out. Zoom out = "/" on numpad Move back = Lean back with TrackIR. And for me, leaning back in the F-15 makes the HUD look bigger. RTX 2070 8GB | 32GB DDR4 2666 RAM | AMD Ryzen 5 3600 4.2Ghz | Asrock X570 | CH Fighterstick/Pro Throttle | TM MFDs | TrackIR 5
uboats Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 But if you move away from something, that makes it look smaller ...? thats different, moving back increases display occupancy on hud but does not change fov . zoom in is to change the fov. You should use both to make a proper pit display [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My DCS Mods, Skins, Utilities and Scripts | Windows 10 | i7-4790K | GTX 980Ti Hybrid | 32GB RAM | 3TB SSD | | TM Warthog Stick | CH Pro Throttle + Pro Pedal | TIR5 Pro | TM MFD Cougar | Gun Camera: PrtScn |
Flagrum Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 (edited) Moving back the head position in DCS is not the same as zooming out. Zoom out = "/" on numpad Move back = Lean back with TrackIR. And for me, leaning back in the F-15 makes the HUD look bigger. Ok, got it ... had to re-read OPs posting as well. Zoom in = everything gets larger, but ratio "hud" vs. "hud content" remains the same Move back = HUD gets smaller, but hud content size remains the same -> hud content fills hud better, but hud itself gets smaller So probably ideally one would move head back AND zoom in to get the absolute hud dimensions back. James Corbett Posted July 19, 2014 Author Posted July 19, 2014 If I zoom in I cant see the rest of the cockpit The image displayed on the HUD does is very small and hard to read the neutral position when you start the game. I have noticed it on the A10-C SU-33 and the A10-A. It is almost as if the compleate HUD image is shrunk zooming in does solve it but I cant see the rest of the instuments in the cockpit.
Iberian Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Any threads about how to reposition/resize the display markings on the HUD? I had found one a while back but I can't seem to find it again... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
