Yes, because anyone under the age of 18 is incapable of intelligent thought...what an interesting view you have of the world. And if you are trying to prove that your generation is infinitely more sophisticated you could at least take the time to write properly.

Agreed wholeheartedly.

 

Not to say that the tutorials for any of the modules are poor, or anything like that.

The game mode is also fairly comprehensive.

 

The 4chan post was not made in jest or malice -- just a humorous greentext of a new user experience.

 

There must be a measure of understanding from the community at how "out there" a sim like DCS is for the average gamer.

 

As for complexity or skill, keep in mind that various competitive games simply draw upon different types of skills or thinking.

Games like DOTA2 value tactical thinking, improvisation, reactionary time and talent just as much or even more than the most hardcore simulation.

Yes, I'm sick of this condescending attitude that (and I'm perhaps being unfair in singling you out here but I see it time and time again) you display. It appears that anyone born after 1995 or so has no respect for authority, walk around in tracksuits and hoodies beating up old ladies and smoking weed, capable only of playing console games for cheap thrills, the very idea that they could be bright, intelligent and independent is ridiculous of course!

 

So here's an attempt to enlighten you, I've been playing DCS since I was 12, I don't put it in game mode and go "HAHAHAHAHAHA NOOBZ I PWNZ YOU ALL MOTHERF*CKERS", I've more recently got into playing ARMA, when they added a fatigue system I didn't say "WAH, I CAN'T HAVE ROCKET LAUNCHER AND SNIPER AND BACKPACK FULL OF ROCKETS TO KILL NOOBZ".

 

But obviously what I've just written is worthless, because I'm only 15 I'm not worthy to speak to the great gods who were born before the 90's.
