Make controls GUI take up more of the screen?

For a long time now, I've found it really frustrating that the controls GUI doesn't scale to the actual resolution you use. Instead you're always stuck with a small box in which you have to constantly scroll around, both vertically and horizontally, in order to see all the commands and all the devices. In extreme cases, like when using a resolution of 3840x2160 as shown in the screenshot, it's almost comical how small the window is. Does anyone know of a way to make this window bigger? If not, is this a feature that could be added to DCS by the devs?

Something is wrong because mine isn't that small...

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Just in case you don't know - you can press some key and if it is assigned, then window will jump to this position.

Q is releasing flares. You want assign joystick button to release flares. So instead of scrolling and searching for "Flares" line you just can press Q and Flare line will be shown at once.

He is using a 4K screen. The window is a fixed size, in pixels (apparently).

Thanks what I thought.

Right, understood about how to quickly find control assignments. But as cichlidfan clarified, my complaint is that the controls GUI seems to a fixed size, in pixels, and does not scale with the actual in-game resolution chosen, thus leading to un-user-friendly interfaces like shown above.

It isn't as bad as on yours but I used to run a 2560x1440 main screen, and this always annoyed me. The side to side scrolling, so you can see all of your controllers is much more of an issue than scrolling up and down and that is an issue even for a standard HD display.

My recommendation is to actually set a low resolution for whenever you need to do some more work within the GUI. A workaround.

The size of the text is fine. It is the lack of ability to use the available screen real estate to expand the window.

It would be similar if your spreadsheet program was limited to a 1024x768px window size, regardless of the desktop resolution.

Weird. Reducing resolution should enlarge everything.
