1.2.10 Viewports

I recently updated to 1.2.10 and now my viewports no longer work. This is the method I used when I was running version 1.2.8(I think).

Since the update, I have overwritten the Config, Mods, and Scripts directories within my Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World directory with the directories from the 1.MFCDs in Cockpit ON directory. I then replaced the Export example.lua file in the MonitorSetup directory with my modified one with the same name.

 

I have attached my custom Export example.lua file and the zip file I used to try to get the viewports exported.

 

Anything you can think of or if there is a working method for exporting viewports for version 1.2.10 please share.

So does anyone have their viewports working with the latest update 1.2.10.32275? If so, what and how did you do it? :)

I have everything working as normal, except RWR, EW, CounterMeasures, UHF, Digi Clock and a few others,

 

MFDs and Gauges in Helios work fine, so I suspect a path issue between the /aircraft and /aircrafts change in those indicator files.

Mine all work. Same as they did in the previous patches, but I only use the A-10's MFCD's, the Ka-50 ABRIS/Shkval screens and the Kneeboard.

 

I understand there's a Cargo Cam for the UH-1H but I've never even done cargo lifting with it (don't know how to setup a mission to do so either), so I've not seen if the cargo cam works.

 

The only thing I had to do a patch or two ago was to re-do my kneeboard viewport, it seems using the ED-Map name (or whatever it is in PeterPs exports exampe) doesn't work and I had to give it a completely custom name (morpheus).

 

Of course you also have to edit init.lua found in Scripts>Aircrafts>_Common>Cockpit>KNEEBOARD>indicator and add try_find_assigned_viewport("Morpheus") to the bottom and uncomment (remove the two - marks) the line or 2 above if it needs it (can't recall if it does or not).

Edit, Yup, Mine all work, Double checked the files and apparently it didnt overwrite them.

 

Copy/Pasted my Indicator Files from /Backup.xx/mods/aircrafts/A-10C/Cockpit/Scripts/

 

to /Mods/Aircraft/A-10C/Cockpit/Scripts/.

 

Made sure the indicator.lua have the correct viewport names.

 

Booted DCS, and Everything is fine.

Thanks for your posts guys, but I don't they cover what I'm trying to accomplish here. I would like to have the items for the A-10C found in the Export example file to be displayed on my secondary touchscreen while running Helios.

Same problem here-Nothing works except Ka50 Skval, ABRIS and mfcds on the A10.

Also the same monitor config would work for both-now I have to change monitor settings in options screen between the two aircraft.

 

RWR, digital clock, UV26, PVI, CDU, EKRAN, UHF, CSMP, CMSC Reapeter viewports all gone......In fact the game would not boot using my old Export I had to change the names to Left and Right MFCD for the A10 and KA 50 from ED_A10C_LEFT_MFCD / ED_A10C_RIGHT_MFCD and ED_KA50_ABRIS ED_KA50_Shkval respectively in order to get it to work at all.

I have a touchscreen monitor below my main screen with Helios Captain Zeen profile for the KA 50 and a customized Gadroc profile for the A10. I have tried every config and naming scheme possible and nothing works.

Hopefully someone can help as something changed with the updates.......

What seems to be the problem as i have all of those working, there are a few hoops to jump through to get them all working but they do including all 3 parts of the UHF radio.

Captain Zen's profiles all work too.

I too have the Loz A10C Helios profile working in the latest update. However, no joy on the radios. How did you get them to properly work ie, the frequencies?

Sobe not enough time for me to go into it tonight will chime in tomorrow.

My next break through will follow soon as i have managed to get some of the Huey gauges to work namely the ADI, ALT and VVI.

I had the same problem only thing that still showed up were the mfcd's.

I replaced the init lua files in the indicator maps of all the instruments/radios and everything showed up again as before.

Stiinc, please check for me if you actually copy the files to the folder called 'aircraft' and not 'aircrafts'. There are actually two folders with almost the same name in /Mods/

If you still have an aircrafts folder, along with the aircraft folder, then your install needs cleanup. A proper current install will not have an aircrafts folder, only aircraft.

My biggest problem however, was the naming of the viewports-the old naming schemes in my monitor config lua in some cases crashed the game. I used the new 1.2.0 viewport names and all is good with A10C now.

 

Now the next problem to solve will be to get the any of KA-50 Exports working and on the same monitor config.....

Little bit of effort and I got the viewports from the KA 50 working on the same monitor setup lua as the KA 50. Again the key is to use the right viewport names on the A10 from the 1.2.0. files but the old ones from the KA 50 still work from post 68 of this thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1541311#post1541311
