I made a small mission to test the Radar guided Kh-66 Grom missiles, and also some illumination to make it harder.

Not sure if it's a bug, or do we need to dive steep to make missiles hit?

The Grom works pretty well for me, it hits where my pipper is pointing at. My problem is rather to keep the pipperon the target untill the missle impacts and also not getting shot down in the meantime.

Make sure you have the radar in locked-beam mode.

If you press the lock on Button, the pipper will be glued on the ground, so you dont have to focus on the target

I do this, but I seem to only hit good, if I come high and steep, from around 20 degrees it seems to go behind the locked pipper.

I actually didn't know that. That should make it easier, thanks!

I been trying to hit target while under fire from AAA. As I swing around to face the target I fire the missile. Maybe 30 degrees off target. As I continue to turn on target the missile swings around following my nose... If I time it just right the missile gets to target just as my nose swings past it . Means I don't have to fly straight and always flying a curved path. AAA have much harder time hitting me. I was inspired to try this by this footage of Mig21bis dropping bombs while flying a curve . Presumably he was doing this to complicate fire solution of AAA

I think this is a better upgraded MiG-21, it can drop single bomb.

Our MiG-21bis can only drop pairs.
