There has been no issue with other DCS module until I install the Mig-21. Actully, I've played well with FC3, A-10C, F-86 Sabre.

But! when I install the Mig-21, I can't fly at all with other planes including Mig-21 itself.

[symptom]

After install the Mig-21, when I trying to free flight in the instant mission for example, Once after click "free flight", little HUD screen is shows on my desktop (As you guys know, this little square screen shows up when loading data ), and... that's it. There is no response.

This issue has gone if I uncheck Mig-21 in the module manager.

I've format my HDD and clean install Windows 8.1 64bit and Mig-21 only. but same symptom happen. maybe... Is this issue of new video card? (GTX980) But very odd thing is there is no problem with other mods. (FC3, A-10C, Heuy, F86...)

Anybody experienced this?

Windows 8.1 64bit, I 4770k, GTX980with 344.16 driver, 16GB ram

Can you try grabbing the logs from your Saved Games/DCS/Logs folder?

Do this AFTER trying to start a mission with the MiG-21. :)

Zip them up and post them here. :)

Thanks,

Nick

Thanks. I attached the log file

Had problem on my new rig with NVIDIA GTX980. I could start the DCS and get into a cockpit then during the flight the PC rebooted instantly. This happened randomly, sometimes it rebooted as soon as I get into a cockpit or as soon as I started maneuvering the aircraft or when one jumps into an instant flight. Sometimes I could fly for few minutes then reboot...I have been in communication with support and sent several log files. They concluded the HW problem.

I assumed the GTX980 is too new and returned the rig. I am now thinking to reorder the rig with a bit lower specs on the GPU maybe NVIDIA 760 or a model before the GTX980..Anyone has had similar faults? maybe it was just that rig the problem.

By the way my rig was:

Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz ~ 4.4GHz

GeForce GTX 980 4GB GDDR5, PhysX CUDA

240GB SSD + 2TB HD

16GB DDR3 1600MHz

Intel Z97 chipset - ASRock Z97X Killer main board

750W ATX Power supply

DVDRW

Cooler Master 690 II cabinet

Qualcomm® Atheros® Killer™ LAN E2200

Windows 8.1

GDX65,

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, ASUS TUF Gaming B650-PLUS WIFI, RTX5090FE, 64GB Kingston FURY Beast RGB DDR5-6000 -32GB - CL36 - Dual Channel (2 pcs), 2 x Crucial T700 SSD - 2TB - M.2 2280 - PCIe 5.0, Quest 3, HOTAS Thrustmaster Warthog & Pendular rudder. - Flight sims, DCS and IL2

nothing in your logs. Perhaps you have something enabled in your export.lua file -> look at your Users\______\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts folder and open export.lua. Try disabling all the code there for temporary testing.

your rig was fine, probably some driver was causing the issue. You should have tried stable video drivers. Could be instable RAM also, but I don't think it was the case.

Power through superb knowledge, training and teamwork.
