Woogey Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 OK next question. How do I make an F-16 skin available? I've done a US Navy F-16N variant for use in the NTTR, I created a new Livery folder which shows in the Mission editor. However it will only show one of the default skins. I have my 2 template files in the Specified US Navy VF-126 Livery folder that I created. I tried changing the Skin number to 12, as this is the next unused number, but no go. As a Side note, I can not locate the Default Nellis Aggressor F-16 texture files anywhere in the DCS World architecture. They are there though. I found Greek, Israeli, US standard, Netherlands, Turkish, textures, but not the Nellis (WA) Aggressors. Do you know where they might be located? Basically, I just want to create a variety of aggressor liveries to offer the Virtual Thunderbirds an alternative ride. This in turn, may offer live manned F-16's to fight against in a DACT manor for Multi-player. -Woog Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
NRG-Vampire Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 (edited) you can find the default 16C WA skin in the ShipTexturesBMP.zip as f-16c-paint-def-r6.bmp.dds and f-16c-paint-def-l6.bmp.dds and there is a sample (description and textures) in Bazar\Liveries\f-16a mlu\CMD extended skins for the 16A, you can use similar files for the 16C/16N as well use "false" in the description, that will call textures directly from the folder where the description.lua file is placed "true" call VFSTexturePaths (zip packs) from the Config/graphics.lua file Edited December 17, 2015 by NRG-Vampire
Sammy H Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 Gents, I know this is quite a old topic but I am really trying to understand why the Aggressor paints I downloaded will not show up in MP only on client machines. So the paints are installed on my server machine as well as my gamer. If I run the mission in Single Player on my gamer the paints show up fine, when I host a MP session on my gamer (with no one connected) they show up fine. The problem comes in when I host the mission in MP on my server machine myself nor anyone who connects to it can see the paints and it always defaults back to Aviano paint. I even tried using a default block 52 F-16 that comes with DCS and still comes up as Aviano paint. Very similar to what is being described above. So basically I can see them on all machines, just not when hosting on my server and connecting to it, they are displayed correctly on the server, I can see them exactly as what they should be just not on my gamer once connected. Sorry if this sounds confusing, just frustrated because I spent almost 6 hours now trying to figure out why they show up one way and not the other and came across this topic. I truly hope someone will be able to give me a hand.
