Mizzy Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 I will never be able to fly it on 'real' settings but the amount of work and detail is incredible. I love this airframe, always have. Thank you. Mizzy
silverofx441 Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 I will never be able to fly it on 'real' settings Mizzy Why not? Start with learning the systems by heart, what does what, where the switches are, levers, what have you. Then learn your "speeds". take off speed according to load, landing speed etc. That's with how you do it of course like, flaps settings, AB or not blah blah blah. When you know this, which shouldn't take too long, it's a very small powerful jet. Then practice take offs, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 crash, die, whatever. Do it till fairly good at it. Then practice circuits. How fast, how high, what flaps etc. Then practice landings. When your fairly good at that, start flying about the skies learning proper climbing profiles etc. On and on. You'l be flying that thing having fun in no time!:pilotfly: Good luck! Intel i5 2500K 4.2 Ghz GTX560 Ti Twin Frozr ii 16 Gb DDR3 RAM Win 7 64 bit [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
lucien Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 lol if you're saying that you're flying in arcade mode be prepared for the wave of angry simmers. But yes, the aircraft is spectacular in every way. I've made it my main study sim and know majority everything now.
sport02 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 (edited) the graphic détails of the cockpit is another point which is very impressive ; used , not clean glass on instruments and on the radar : finger track and something like dust ( and how the clouds are represented on it of course ) and not clean glass canopy , also with 3d vision it's look very realistic as never . without forget the pilot tube animation which is a good indication in flight like an instrument . But yes, the aircraft is spectacular in every way. I've made it my main study sim and know majority everything now. Don't be silly, I have been prepared for such ridicule ever since Flanker 1 when I expressed my views as a sim enthusiast who does not fight even when the title of the simulation says 'Combat'. We all have our reasons for buying DCS but in my case it's simply DS with military airframes, one doesn't necessarily have to fight in them do they ? And please don't say I am missing the point, I am just the same as the aerobatics community or whatever. I enjoy this product in my own way...period :-) Best regards Mizzy
Flamin_Squirrel Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 DCS has the best flight models by far, so it's understandable you'd play it even if you're not interested in combat. Why wouldn't you want to try sim flight mode though?
Mizzy Posted November 1, 2014 Author Posted November 1, 2014 DCS has the best flight models by far, so it's understandable you'd play it even if you're not interested in combat. Why wouldn't you want to try sim flight mode though? I do, I play all modules in flight sim mode except the Mig 21. That is only because I can't understand it with all it's complexity. Don't worry, when I get some time, I assure you I will be able to fly this delta wing. It's just so much more difficult than the other module. I have a little boy who is 9 years old and he is showing an interest in the more complex aspects of DCS, then again he was helping me in the beta testing of Black Shark at the age of 3 years old so he's used to his mum with all this stuff :-) Here are some photos from the past, we love flight sims in my family !! MiG21bisFishbedL Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Actually, the Fishbed is the antithesis of complexity. But, it's no Flanker or Eagle in terms of runway operations. -Never exceed about 10 degrees of AoA on take off or landing -At 250km/h, start trying to ease the nose off the ground, just don't yank it back hard as tail will hit the ground. -Keep it up and you will rotate at 340. -Set up your approach at 450km/h or so. -Come over the fence at 340, again. -For the touch down, think butterfly with sore feet when you begin to flare. -Landings are easiest with less than 700l of fuel onboard. Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!
