Tumbleweed Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 (edited) Ok so this seemed the most logical place to post about an issue that happened in MP.... Had a spare hour to myself so I thought I'd jump on the VA server and have a blast round in the F-15... Started following some chap around for quite a while, nailed myself to his six and then he crashed. This left me wandering around in the valleys and then, just out of nowehere I found myself "in the zone" like never before.. It was like I had put on the F-15 like a trusty pair of jeans... I eventually found myself flying close to the ground between a bunch of power lines which run parallel to each other about two F-15 widths apart. These stretched out for miles over hills, bumps ridges and I was nailing it.. Never felt so intune with the F-15 before and then FREEEEZE... It's like DCS couldn't handle my sudden new found skills and it broke the game LOL :megalol: The entire game locked up at that point without warning or seemingly without reason - at least none was given. It always seems to happen right as I'm getting into it... Is there anyway I can find out why this happened or even if this was a DCS related issue or some quirk of the server or my hardware / software even? After I forced the DCS process to end due to it being stuck in freeze mode with sound, I checked and VA server was still up and running.... It's not the first time I've had this and I've let it go without too much worry before but now it's cheesed me off so I wanna cure it if possible but I don't know what steps to take to start looking into debugging the issue. I was really really enjoying that flight too :( :joystick::pilotfly: Edited November 16, 2014 by Tumbleweed My Hangar: P-51D Mustang - KA-50 Blackshark - A-10C Warthog - F-86F Sabre - FC3 - Combined Arms - UH-1H My Flying Adventures: www.dcs-pilot.com :pilotfly:
AtaliaA1 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Could have just been an ISP thing. Not debug able. This was a Boutique Builder iBuypower rig. Mustang Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 (edited) Unfortunately the more and more clients crash/collide their aircraft the more and more unstable the server becomes over time, it's a known problem. edit: this problem is also associated with the huge brown craters that often appear on a server over time, with the accompanying freezes/crash. Tumbleweed Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 Thanks for the replys. I understand if it's just one of those things. Just annoying when it happens - always seems to be at the most awkward times imaginable lol.
