sydost Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Hi! Does anyone still have the Microsoft Sidewinder 4.0 Controller Software which came with MSFFB2 joystick? I bought my Sidewinders used and never got the CD. I have tried to find it from the net but no luck. I know it doesn't work on newer operating systems but I have one computer with older OS and would like to have a look on the program. Can anyone provide the program for me?
Abburo Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I have an old box with some drivers CDs at home. I will check it later on. Romanian Community for DCS World HW Specs: AMD 7900X, 64GB RAM, RTX 4090, HOTAS Virpil, MFG, CLS-E, custom

sydost Posted November 18, 2014 Author Posted November 18, 2014 Within the first ten hits on Google... Good luck with it! Thanks! Seems to be an earlier 3.2 version though. Probably I need to improve my googling skills as I missed that one.
Milli Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 version 4.0 is here: http://www.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=79453 If you have windows xp or win 7 (maybe vista and win8 also), you will find the driver for the sidewinder hardware is already incorporated in the operating system. Just plug it in and windows will automatically install the driver for you. I use an old sidewinder precision pro for playing Arma3, it works perfectly and is fully configurable and can be calibrated via the control panel. I have no software for it, i just plug it in. Hope this helps. Regards, Milli
Lange_666 Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Yes but with the software you can setup a shiftbutton. Without shiftbutton, your button options are reduced in half. JayPee Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 AFAIK you can't set up modifiers in MS' utility. You need to do that in the game, provided it supports that. i7 4790K: 4.8GHz, 1.328V (manual) MSI GTX 970: 1,504MHz core, 1.250V, 8GHz memory
Lange_666 Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 You could do that with an older version that worked under Win98. From XP on this version was obsolete. Form then on i changed to a Thrustmaster Cougar. Always thought this would still be the same in the later versions.
