is a study sim like the A-10C?

Some features are still missing, but other than that it really is a top-notch study sim.

The one that seems to be quoted the most is engine gas overheat. Another is multi-player stations. But it is a great module that I enjoy a lot. Probably what I've spent the most time in.

Hi, guys!

A couple of questions for you, I would like to fly the uh-1h huey without the game flight mode checked since I don't have the rudder pedals, how do I keep the helicopter stable in flight and when hovering? Thanks!

Cheers,

Vincent

I guess you'll have to use the keyboard commands for rudder control but you should at least get a joystick with a twist grip. That's what I use and it works fine.

Hi, Kontiuka!

Does best buy have a joystick with a twist grip, and how do I setup the ILS in the DCS uh-1h huey for approach to landing? Thanks!

A joystick with a rudder axis you can find pretty much anywhere. Just do a quick search. That's if you don't want to buy expensive rudder pedals.

For your ILS question, I think it's just a matter of tuning into the ILS frequency on your NAV radio and then keeping the needles on the Course Deviation Indicator (CDI) centred.

landing and hover never been so easy since i've tweaked the throttle curve " more flat at the hover point"

deffinitly the DCS module I love to get some fun with.

The button is labeled 'Axis Tune' and it is described starting on page 27 of the DCS User Manual.

Hi, guys!

I tried the settings what you recommended to make the huey easier to fly and land. The helicopter still wants to yaw to the right after takeoff which causes the helicopter to tip over to the right side when landing. How do I make landing the huey a little easier so the helicopter won't tip over to the side. Thanks!

Use anti-torque/rudder pedals to compensate? But do you tip over if you just yaw?
