Problems with graphics on the Mig21

See attached, when you zoom in the livery disappears !!

As I remember, it is a known bug and it appears with texture settings on high. I experience it also after rig upgrade as I turned settings on high.

This is not a bug. Cobra or Rudel have posted about it before.

 

The grey skin with yellow flaps is the beta testing skin, it probably shouldn't have been released, it's not finished and as you've spotted, if you zoom out enough to trigger a LOD change, the skin changes as well.

Hmmm, may have been posted before, but saying that the livery disappearing when zoomed is not a bug is.. Well.. WRONG Whatever the reason for it, the behavior is not correct and warrants a fix..

It's an internal testing skin. It's working exactly like it's supposed to. You're just using it wrong.

 

The livery that appears when zoomed out is the default livery, since the testing livery apparently doesn't have LOD versions, so if you want those colors, just pick the first one in the list.

I have read the replies and the above is the one I agree with. REGARDLESS of it being a testers livery, this is a BUG simply because it should not be there doing what it does, they should have removed this 'test' livery and then I wouldn't have to have spent time pointing it out. On that note, I suggest it's either fixed or removed as it's annoying

It was fixed in a previous patch now broken again. I had a mod that fixed it and I deleted thinking it was fixed for good... meh...

I don't get it... if is just an internal test skin why it still appears in release after so many patches?... Why patched then unpatched? Maybe someone is playing with multiple builds and lost track of the moded files? :D

The textures are now present but the description.lua file misses the relevant lines:
