DCS_updater.exe succesfully updated! :dunno:

Recommended Posts

Downloaded the update 1.2.12 something something through the DCS_updater ( ofc admin ), told me it had successfully updated, yet launches the 1.2.11...

Soo then I went on and deleted the \local\temp\dcs\ folder, tried it again.

first reverted to 1.2.11, no problem, then update 1.2.12.

Again message: 1.2.12 successfully installed.

Launch the game again... STILL 1.2.11......... \

Repeated the process, with Antivirus disabled.

still 1.2.11..... although the module Icons I own, say 1.2.12, the right lower corner indicates 1.2.11. And equally, trying to enter an updated 1.2.12 server notifies me with the "connection interrupted".

Notice the change in the info?

Have rebooted... still 1.2.11 lower right corner.

Have used the repair tool

Have updated drivers...

I'm out of ideas guys... I can't spend my time downloading the entity of files and modules over and over again....

Run: "DCS_updater.exe install world"

(There should a "world" in your modules list in the log and there isnt)

Then run DCS_Updater.exe update again.

It appears to be updating your modules and not your DCSWORLD core files.

The DCS updater provides the error "Unknown module World", with the following command:

bin>DCS_updater.exe install World

It leaves no trace in the autoupdate_templog

Still threw in another update, just in case, yet no improvements unfortunately

Thats odd,

Im on mobile so I cant give any tips outside of that.

You can open a ticket or perhaps c0ff will chime in shortly.

Maybe try making a backup of autoupdate.cfg and then add "WORLD" to the modules list.

But looking at the log you maybe missing more data than that as the branch is blank as well.

And now:

DCS_updater.exe update 1.2.11 gives me the "404 error"

1.2.12 still loads up the wrong version...

-------------------------------------

Extra:

Actually only the purchased and installed separate module icons indicate 1.2.12.

Su-25T IE, and other modules remain at 1.2.11

Your Auto Update. CFG Should look like this, Make sure you have WORLD LISTED.

You made a backup before you edited that file hopefully?

All you shoulda had to do is paste the WORLD line, everything is actually time stamped to my system.

So, using what you pasted:

I did backup :), although everything seems to be corrupted anyway, since it'll constantly give me the "error 404" with even the most basic instructions such as repair... quite frustrating..

Thanks a lot for the help!
