SkateZilla Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 So far, this Driver is gravy for me performance wise, 30 FPS Pegged, Across 3 Screens, 4, Screens (3 Eyefinity+1 Extended), 5 Screens (Portrait Eyefinity), 6 Screens (5 Eyefinity+1 Extended). With a few dips to 26 or so in high action scenes. I pegged to 30 for a few reasons, until DCSW Lets me use all 3 of my GPUs, there's no need to force 60, I might overclock the Main GPU a bit more to see if I can Iron out the dips, and after Xmas I'll prolly get a SSD. Stability when switching displays though, is a PITA. Seems I'm having issues going from Eyefinity to Single screen, While 2,3,4 extended profile to single screen works fine. Eyefinity to extended/single not so much. Switching from 3 screen eyefinity to 1 screen ends with a black screen hang with mouse cursor. To restore desktop I can C.A.D. and bring up the Admin screen and choose sign out, then sign back in and see a single screen desktop, but the side screens would stay on instead of normally going to sleep, rebooting fixes that issue. Setting up Eyefinity and Eyefinity+1 Extended on the new software was more complicated than ever. I had to repeatedly start over because it would do wierd things with the screens resolutions and stuff. Reboots and a day later (today), same thing, side screens stay on, even though there's no input from them. Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
fearlessfrog Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 These drivers have been pretty good for my 290X. I used the Catalyst Omega 'VRS' (Virtual Super Resolution?) setting and ran DCS at 4k (3840x2160 I think) on my center 1080p (I used three, but just wanted to test this on the single one). Frames per second we're pretty much the same (about 40 on the Huey Harbour Tour over the city, 60 elsewhere), with my i5 clocked at 4.5GHz. It looked pretty good scaled like that, with the main downside the DCS text was tiny and unreadable. The cockpit with TrackIR was super nice though - very clear, as this is pretty much a 'brute force' type of AA I guess. ~~~ http://www.mudspike.com
fearlessfrog Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Also, wanted to say here in-case it helps other trying this driver out. On one of my screens the color profile looked 'off' when upgrading to these drivers. What had happened is that screen was connected via HDMI (I've run out of mDP), and the pixel profile colors are defaulted incorrectly. Reset that screen back to 'RGB 4:4:4 Pixel Format PC Standard (Full RGB)' in the Digital Panel - Pixel Format and it made a huge difference. More info here: ~~~ http://www.mudspike.com

More info here: All my screens are in MiniDP->DVI, all 3 Mains are the same model, same Menu Settings for Color Modes, Brightness, Contrast, etc etc, and the center never matches the other 2, I can unplug the input and put a side screen in the center and it's the same, so I dunno what's up with that, I might have to double check my display outputs in CCC (ahh). I resolved my Eyefinity 4 to Single Screen issues by Going to Eyefinity 4 to 3 Screen Extended then to One.
