Connection interrupted on connect after server restart

How to reproduce:

 

 

• running 1.2.12 on both sides
  
• my buddy starts his server, I start my client, connects, we play and everything is fine - my buddy takes down his server to make a change to map file
  
• I do NOT restart my client
  
• when I try to reconnect, it always says connection interrupted (immediately)
  
• if I restart my client, everything is fine
  

We did this multiple times and it happened 100% of the time. For clarification, I am saying it acts like it is failing to reconnect to the server if the server was restarted since the client was loaded and connected to the master server.

 

Maybe it is using some data from the master server that is stale, like an auth cookie or something? Just guessing here :)

I had the same issue last night. I reset my router, checked port forwarding and the same thing. Now I am having consistent connection interrupted right from the start now.

Clarification: when I had the connection interrupted problem, it was fixed 100% of the time by restarting the DCS multiplayer client. So I would not say what you are seeing is the same thing, since your problem survives restarts of the client. So the problem I am reporting is a bad state in the client and yours is not.

I cant join any servers either, just getting connection interrupted or the entire multiplayer client crashes

Fixed: I just manually ran the DCS updater in the DCS/Bin directory

What the hell?! This worked for me too. It didn't work last night.

 

Not only that, but running the shortcut should be literally the same thing as running the application directly. I work in IT, I deal with supporting countles applications every day, what the hell?!

I ran the repair and it didn't work for me. any suggestions?

My buddy and me have the same problem. Running the updater didn´t fix it.

server list is sometimes filled and sometimes empty
