ED Team NineLine Posted December 10, 2014 ED Team Posted December 10, 2014 Now you should read the forums and get back to us... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=134839 Yes I know, Big Deal!... I finished it and nowhere was there a mention that a wing will snap off at maneuvering loads sending the pilot back to earth in flames. In fact it specifically praises the 109 with a chart showing how the Luftwaffe placed it somewhere between Stress Groups 4 and 5. The manual states a reasonable load limit of +8G and -4G and claims that any real risk of overstress may be when pulling out of a high-speed dive. That is not where the plane as modeled by DCS is today. If Tacview is to be believed, wing failure consistently occurs at between 6 and 7G. If the Tacview "G" value is not trustworthy then at least the relative "G" between the 109 and its AI adversary probably can be. I know that the K-4 is in its early stages and I also know that ED will likely dial this failure mode back a bit. This post is just my vote to dial it back A LOT.
