Jascha Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Hi! I'm trying to make my own Lock-On movie (just for fun) and I have a few questions about custom view angles in LO: 1) How to get this "pilot in cockpit view"? (The camera is like somewhere on the instrument panel and it's aimed at the pilot - for exaple like in LockOnSTE 5) 2) How can I set the camera angle fixed below the wing, right next to the missile - like in LockOnSTE 5, No Fear etc... I can do this with help of the [shift-Esc] and [Ctrl-NUM/ or NUM*], but it's not exactly this what I want. Is there any other solution (maybe I need to modify some file?) 3) Is it possible to get padlock from the cockpit, without this "padlock crosshair"? 4) How to disable "the subtitles" (ACM failure, Maximum AOA etc..)? Thanks in advance for the help! :) S!
JaNk0 Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 The answer to the Q4, is in game options. Where you set the mirrors, on high, med or low. There u can choose subtitle:cool: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Shotsx74 Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 I belive a Free Cam is ctrl and f11 i could be wrong though...
SuperKungFu Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 1&2.) this could be done through the f4 view i believe. It requires you to change numbers in a notepad in a file. Some1 can go into the details here since im eating [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
JaNk0 Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 oke, You press F4, then rotate with 4 or 6 so that you'r heading forward. Then you you think you are flying forward, hold Ctrl and press numpad / ( the button between Num Lock and *) and you zoom out until you see the cockpit =) :icon_supe [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Frazer Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 I believe you have to change the coördinates of the view (F4) in lockon/config/view/view.lua (open with wordpad). Someone showed me that before but i'm not sure what to change exactly. Hope it helped you, you can also look in forums, its a good possibility that there is a topic like this somewhere. Jascha Posted April 11, 2006 Author Posted April 11, 2006 Thanks for the help guys, but the problem isn't exactly solved because I have no idea, which coordinates (and in which file) should I change. @ Janko Thanx, but I knew this view alredy. Maybe I should be more specific. I'm looking for the view that it's like: - the camera is placed on the instrument panel - like somewhere near the HUD - and it's pointed on the pilot - so you see the pilot and the back of the plane - the camera is inside the cockpit Like I said, it's used in LockOnSTE-5 for example. Cool movie. It's worth downloading + you'll see what I'm looking for. It's like the real pilots are filming themselves during the flight. If anyone will find something about it, please let me know. S! PS. Omg, this question about subtitles was so n00bish...
SuperKungFu Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 I believe all these views can be attained through the F4 view by editing the numbers inside the view.lua file (i think). However, i dunno what numbers to plug in. if you do it correctly you can position it anywhere on the aircraft. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Bravo020 Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Jascha, I know exactly what you are talking about but after just pressing almost every key combo on my keyboard I still can't find it. Weird thing is that I seem to recall encountering this view while using my X45....? If I rediscover the key combo I'll let you know. But as you guess it does NOT involve making changes to any files that I am aware of, as I've never done that. Regards.
