Flocke.LE Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Hello virtual Pilots, I was wondering if there is a way to adjust the movement speed of the target designator cursor. If I was able to lower that speed, it would be easier for me to slide the TDC over a target, especially in the A-10, when using the AGM-65D form long distance (<10nm). Any ideas ? Thanks in advance :) -------------------------------------------- i7 12700F | 64GB | RTX 4090 | Asus Z690-P WIFI D4 | 2TB SSD
S77th-konkussion Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Get it close and make the fine adjustments with your rudder pedals. Often the target will snap to after a couple of seconds if you have locked on close to the item. [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]
Wild.Bill.Kelso Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 I don't think you can adjust how fast the cursor moves for keystrokes. I have the cursor mapped to a hat on my X45 Hotas. That works very well for me. The K's are designed for 3nm or less.

Thanks in advance :) What I usually do is put the cursor in the right neighborhood and ground stabilize. Then magnify and slew the cursor over (or next to the target). Magnifying "slows" the cursor's movement. Once the range closes the cursor auto-snaps to the target. dynamocl Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 I used a variety of the mentioned techniques above. However, as well as having the little stick thing under my left thumb on the X45 throttle control the TDC, I also mapped the mouse to the TDC. The difference is amazing. The amount of control is increased ten fold. So with the ground pounders you can put the cursor directly over anything very quickly (makes up for the time you have to take hand off stick), also mapping LMB to target lock (ground stabalise) helps also. Not exactly real life controls, but I doubt the real aircraft have the dodgey movements we have to put up with, with the surrent sticks we have.
