3 connection interrupted from both servers, I know it's an easy fix but I don't know what file is causing it. Is there a log or something of the sort? :helpsmilie:

From my experience with the integrity check system, provided that you are on a supposed "clean" install/repair, is that its usually the whole directory checks that cause the problem. If you have an extra file in there (made a backup / mod put additional files in) then this will cause the failure in the check. One way that should work is to delete all files in a known directory that is being checked (or just move them to some backup area outside the DCS folder structure) and then do a repair to let DCS replace the required files. Of course, if the server that's hosting has unknown additional files in said directory, then that can gum up the works.

A suggestion would be for the servers running integrity checks to advertise what is being checked and in the case of directories, the number of files they have in said directories. That would help people identify what is mismatched. Some feel that this would let the hackers know what else they could mess with, but if they are able, then just check the new files (if any) that they found to hack.

Of course, you never know, maybe ED will someday add the information to at least a log, but, don't hold your breath.....

hiya Shahdoh, ltns.

This is why I JGSME every single change i make to anything. Makes it so much easier to isolate the offending modification, and to deal with DCS updates as well. YT, i suggest maybe you try this approach and save yourself a bit of head scratching.

Take a look at your network.cfg file found here: C:\Users\Yourname\Saved Games\DCS\Config

Notice this bit:

integrity_check = {

"Config/Weapons",

"Scripts/compile.lua",

That's what is checked for everyone by default. So, if you've modified anything concerned with that file, you know you'll have a problem. When you consider that people add other files to be checked it turns into a real problem trying to figure out what's going on without them telling you.

YT, If you don't know what I mean by JSGME'ing every change, I'd be glad to elaborate.

Yep, I use JSGME too, great tool for mods, shouldn't mod DCS without it. 1 thing about it though I am pretty sure, if it adds a file to a DCS folder instead of replacing one, it does not delete those added files when you remove the mod. When JSGME removes a mod, it really is only copying the originals back in place. Thus, if no original to overwrite an added file, that file stays in place. If that file was added to a directory being checked, it is now failing that check because of the extra file. This has been my experience with JSGME at least.

It should remove any files it adds, I use it to add/remove SweetFX, custom kneeboard files, and others that do not exist in default DCS World. When you remove the mod with JSGME, it should remove the files.

The only way to tell which one is causing the problem is to uninstall them all, run a repair, then re-install them one at a time, and testing.

When it crashes, the last one installed will be most likely to have been the issue.

Rocket science!!!

On the 104th forum you can find info on what folders and files the IC check.

If you have a file, in a folder that's checked, that's not supposed to be there you will fail the check.

IC can check both individual files and in some cases entire folders.

Example: I was trying out the missile mod by IASGATG and i renamed the original weapons file to something else, or i changed the extension, don't remember which, but the thing is that the one changed by me stayed in the folder after doing a repair because it was not recognized by the repair as a part of the system, thus preventing me from joining MP. I then removed the changed file and prob was solved.

So i suggest you take a look in the 104th and then check the folders manually.

Alright, did a complete deletion and reinstall, getting used to JSGME from this guide http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=98607 but it's a little confusing.

I guess it is now quite late, so just fyi, I wrote a dumb utility which purpose is exactly to check for any extra files that user might have in DCS installation directory - http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2281569&postcount=112, so full re-install can be avoided.

Currently, it contains list from patch before the latest one, but judging by this thread, it really might be useful to rewrite it so it will use list of files that is used by the DCS's repair utility (that is autoupdate.dat, I guess) as it seems that extra files are causing troubles quite often.
