Okay, I have read the manual and have done the tutorials and watched a few YouTube videos but I'm still thick as a brick and can't figure out how to launch 2 missiles I have mounted on my outer most pylons. I like taking up, when going A2A, two radar missiles, and a center tank and the rest of the pylons are filled with IR missiles. I can launch the radar missiles from pylons 1 & 2 just fine. I can also launch the IR missiles on pylons 3 & 4 (all according to the plane's selectors) but the last two missiles I just can't figure out how to launch them. I've tried moving the selector to each position, even ones for the bombs and A2G missiles but no go. I'm sure I've missed something in the manual and tutorials. I've actually watched them at least twice, some 3x and I can't find the answer I'm looking for. It must be something obvious and simple, that's why I can't figure it out... :) Any help would greatly be appreciated! Thanks. :helpsmilie:

I'm not sure I understand your weapon configuration. You have two radar missiles on stations 1 & 2 and four R-60 missiles on pylons 3 & 4, two on each pylon? And the radar missiles and one of the R-60s on each pylon launch fine?

If that's the case, fire the second pair of IR missiles like the first pair, using either the 3, 4, or 3 & 4 position. For example:

1) Set the IR/RADAR switch to IR

2) Select pylon 3

3) Press and hold the missile release button until the missile fires.

4) Press and hold the missile release again, until the other one fires.

This way you would launch both IR missiles on the left side. You can of course switch between stations 3, then 4, then 3 again and 4 again to keep a better balance, but I kept it simple to illustrate my point.

Justificus, You wrote about 6 missiles total, so I guess You meant some config with 4xR60 on pylons 3 & 4? If that is the case, are we talking about inability to fire all four of them, or the graphical glitch still present in current game version (one pair of 3D models of missiles "stays" on the pylons even though the missiles were supposedly fired)?

Hi guys, sorry for the late response and thanks for the quick replies. I now realize that I'm a complete idiot (I warned you I'm a newbie), though I did have some help. :)

I somehow got it in my head, even though I should know better, that I have 6 IR (R-60s) and 2 Radar Missiles (forgot the ones I usually use). After launching my 2 radars and 4 IR missiles, I still see two missiles on my pylons from within the cockpit and externally, all the while forgetting that I have launched them all... So this is either the ASO (hoping I'm remembering it right) or a visual "bug" that shows an IR missile is left when there isn't one. So ignore the dumb question from the dumb newbie.

These pics show what's left after firing all my missiles and why I thought I still had two more... You're right, Art-J, it's the visual glitch that I didn't know about.
