Guest IguanaKing Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Thanks for the message, and thanks for including everyone. Frankly though, Easter to me and my family is just a time for a mythical rabbit to hide eggs...we get into it too. :D What kind of friggin' rabbit lays eggs? Just kidding, bro. ;) Happy Easter to everyone, no matter how you celebrate it. :icon_jook
diveplane Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 quote =What kind of friggin' rabbit lays eggs? http://gallery.cs.umb.edu/gallery/albums/NFSBirdMammal/DSCN1371.sized.jpg they really do lay egg shapes https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.
Guest IguanaKing Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 So the rabbit is making its way around the bar, laying a few raisins here and there. The obnoxious guy who just came in says "Hey, bartender, what the hell are these things on the bar?" The bartender replies, "Those are smart pills, go ahead and try a couple." The obnoxious guy obliges him and tries eating a couple of them. Then, he exclaims, "Uggghhhh!!! Bartender!!! These taste like s**t! The bartender says "See? You're gettin' smarter already!" :D
diveplane Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 you can eat rabbit poo , combat troops eat it on survival school along with a nice worm omelet ,washed down with nice river water lol https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.
Guest IguanaKing Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Actually...we ate ants, grubs, and wasps (Wasps are a GREAT source of nutrition, BTW). We NEVER ate the excrement of ANY animal, nor did we EVER drink from rivers and streams. Amoebic Dysentery, Giardia, Salmonellosis and many others would quickly kill you MUCH faster than any scenario of starvation or dehydration. Just so you know. ;)
diveplane Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 purifier tablets in the bottle =fine try get fresh running water your ok https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.
Guest IguanaKing Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Not true...iodine tabs only go so far. We collected rain water with leaves, but we had to be careful in making sure the leaves didn't have bird s**t on them.
hitman Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 True fact: Old sailors from post-modern eras (back in the day when keel hauling was still in practice) sailors would eat bird guano if food supplies ran low. The sailors would boil the droppings in water and serve it as a soup. Needless to say this problem has been fixed since the late 1700's. FYI you know... And ants and crickets are by far the best to eat. Personally...Id rather starve. Thank GOD I never went through SERE.
Guest IguanaKing Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Hey...at least you would have gotten a whopping two weeks of con leave, Hitman. :D
hitman Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 I had convalescent when I had my surgery. I can think of more painless ways to have recieved it...
hitman Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Yup...even when I had to have one of the 2 removed (_)_) can I think of better things to do than sere...desert survival, cold weather survival, 20 mile forced hikes, dropping belly pans on M9 ACE's, and hitting my head on support beams on 25 ton cranes...lots of better things...
Guest IguanaKing Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Roger that, devil. I think even my knee replacement, several weeks after SERE, was less of a pain. :D No, SERE didn't cause my injury, it was a complete brain fart on my part.
hitman Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Injury....it popped on a hump and all kinds of pain and the screaming...and to think that the VA gave me 10% for that. Come to think of it...that VA payments buyin me a new computer. Didnt know it was adding up till a few days ago.
Guest IguanaKing Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 So...you truly busted a nut then, and not in the good way. ;) Sorry about your trials with the VA, but the situation is actually kinda funny when you think about it. ;) OK...brief laugh, bro. My rating is 20%, after losing much of a major limb in a training accident. They even failed to document my phone call about rescheduling my appointment, so I was shown as someone who didn't show up. Friggin' Fed employees, they've never been any better than they wanted to be
hitman Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 They did the same to me when I reported hearing loss in my right ear. Stupid me though, I rescheduled for an appointment in Dallas because I had a long drive home from San Diego and just had enough money to get home. Reported as no-show. Going to have to find a way to correct that because its still documented. Been going through my med docs the past few days looking this up.
Guest IguanaKing Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Those who are in charge of our pay and benefits, well, they don't seem to give a rat's hindquarters...as long as they have their steady job. My brother...a 3rd Recon Marine...actually had to write Tom Tancredo in order to get the good ol' USMC off its ass and pay him for the last 3 months he was on Oki.
hitman Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 I always hated GPAC. When I was first promoted to PFC I just got my stripe. 6 months later I was still getting paid as a private. Put me straight on weight control, and because I couldnt excersize correctly cheated me out of an honorable discharge. Now how are you supposed to maintain weight if you can barely walk?
Guest IguanaKing Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Heh...I once got my pay, and the Sergeant behind the little window told me it was my fault she shorted me 400 dollars. Needless to say...I didn't stand for her BS...and I got my money. Bro is in 'stan now, dude, and the Brits are paying him quite well...they never fail in paying him either. I'm thinking about going there myself. The money is friggin' awesome...and you actually get paid what you sign on for! :icon_supe
hitman Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Makes me wish I could get a security clearance to do that kind of stuff. And if I did I would probably be working at the Tooele Chemical Depot near the Dugway Proving Grounds. My dad is a GS-13 out there, worked there for 26, 27 years...job security right there guarding a chemical and biological weapons destruction plant...play with the best weapons out there, up to and including a Mk-19 on all their tahoes (maybe dad was exxagerating when he told me this...). But I dont doubt the fact that they have bigger and better guns there than I ever played with. Only drawback was the armory being anal.
Sleek Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Hi,I've been a bit quiet here (just re-installed XP pro) Happy easter ;) Be Good..Be Strong..:drink: ;)

Good money, but not that good. ;) The Brits are paying him $180,000 per year dude, and they pay his air fare to come home every 4 months for a 60-day vacation . He works about 4 hours a day, putting his arse on the line...but the rest of the day, he and his team are apparently bored out of their skulls. Must be rough. That's why I'm thinking of going.
