.ogg sound files not working

Hi Peeps,

 

I'm trying to add a sound clip to "play sound to coalition" in the triggers.

 

I can add the file ok but it will not play when I hit the play button.

 

I have tried some of the .ogg files that are ED made and they do not play either?

 

The message I want to display from another action works fine in game but no joy with the sounds?

 

Any idea's??

Without knowing exactly where the ogg files are located on your PC I suggest that you be sure to place the files in your Saved Games/DCS folder.

I've noticed that sometimes too. Check your .miz file (open it with 7Zip or some other utility) and confirm the .ogg file is actually there.

 

If not, re-add it and save the mission.

 

You should also confirm that the .ogg file actually has valid data too by playing it using Audacity or some other player.

 

If the files are all there then I recommend saving the mission, exit the ME and game and then enter the game menu and ME again. The sound engine may have had a problem and restarting the ME seems to help (at least it has for me in the past).
