Hey, folks. This is more directed at other CH Control Manager users.

I have a Fighterstick, Pro Throttle and Pedals. I love them to death, and have a nice profile set up for DCS and Star Citizen (my other crack) all set up.

The problem is, any time I plug in a few USB device, it seems to invalidate the CH profile and DCS goes back to whatever the default key/button settings were. This is a real pain, considering I don't want my headset/mic plugged in all the time. I'd like to be able to plug and unplug this thing for MP matches without having to rebind all the keys each time I run DCS.

Is there a solution for this?

Wish I could help you out, but I can't. I know when I had my CH set up, I had no problems having a USB device plugged in. I've had TM cougar MFD's, tired to use my USB headset, but didn't like it, external harddrives and other USB devices with no problems. Maybe ask this question on the CH forums, someone there may be able to help also....the more places the merrier.

Not sure i understand your question but if the ingame controls reset when you plug another usb device it has nothing to do with the CH software but with DCS.

I have myself a mix of CH and other controllers and never had such a problem; however i'm not in the habbit of unplugging stuff.

Hopefully taking care to plug in everything before you launch the game will prevent this issue... but i think what it is is Windows messing up the controllers' IDs therefore causing the game not to recognise them as previously set up. In older versions of windows we had the ability to manually asign a USB controller ID but not anymore... progress :B. Maybe take care to plug them in the same order in the same port every time.

Yeah, that's an accurate description. I'll have everything going right, and then plug in my headset for that one MP match, and bam, there go my DCS settings. Once I unplug it, it goes back to my previous settings.

So I guess this is a Windows/DCS issue, and not a CH one?

Look for a program called JoyID it will show you the order your devices are in and will allow you to reorder them if necessary. That may help.

I have a 7 port powered USB hub and just leave everything plugged in. Although in my case my headset is connected through my speakers, so no worries plugging them in or out.
