Nice that DCS gets attention.

Unfair to say DCS has been Russian-minded, though. This misconception is one reason many casual western vpilots don't try DCS... and propagating that misconception isn't cool.

In fairness though there was only the one single line about it being Russian-minded, and if you are not a hard line DCS fan then the fact that the last 10 years has been played only in the caucases, you might make that conclusion...

I agree. I don't understand what is the idea of a "Russian minded" game.

Obviously this is not an American's Army type of game.

Absolutely, the tone of the article was very positive towards the devs.

 

Reason I mentioned it: IMHO this one single line can be enough to make casual vpilots go "nah, don't want to try." I've been trying to convince people to try DCS in various forums, and people are often negative because they think DCS only/mostly has Russian planes.

 

Anyway I'll get off my soapbox now.

nice article. I don't think he got this quite right though ...
