What module too?

30-40 on the ground in the Mig21 is about right... Its CPU limited so try 4k with MSAA and TSAA off. I get 38-60fps in 4k with the Mig21 with SLI 780ti's and a 4.55ghz i7. So similar specs really.

Ok thank you for reply. oh what seting do you have the view distance and that at?

View distance and water detail are also major resource hogs when cranked up to max (especially around coastal cities) so think twice about how you want to set them up.

Does that video card have 2 GPU's? The reason I ask is DCS doesn't really play well with SLI/Crossfire. My specs are in my sig. When I run one video card I get 60 - 70 FPS. When running both cards in SLI, FPS drops to the 40's. DCS 2.0 should improve that.

You should be able to run it @ 1080 or even 1440p with max everything and 4x MSAA, TSSAA off, all the other stuff enabled but tree shadows at 50+ fps.

Turn it down to 800x600, all minimum to see what your CPU can shuffle, vsync OFF. Anything you add now you add to the GPU, not CPU iirc.

Basically, with your system, I would turn it all ON but maybe traffic and tree shadows and expect 60+ in most AC if not all, anything below must have a reason.

I agree with BitMaster vsync OFF is the only way to go and use the lua file max fps if you have problems with tearing. For me I have it OFF always and I see a big difference switching between SLI on and off, try it.

SLI is an odd one... For me it works fine after a couple of tweaks in Nvidia Inspector.

Just for information, which tweaks are you talking about? Maybe you can provide a screenshot of your current settings please?

If my board would accept SLI I had a 2nd Poseidon 980 yesterday :)

If it works it is worth the hassle if you play above 1080p, till 1080p my single 980 delivers enough fps to saturate the 144Hz the screen can push, but at 1440p I am down to 60-120 fps, depending on AC, height and other stuff, there a 2nd card could push just enough to maintain fps around a three-digit value.

This is moaning on a very high level and btw... I don't consider 60-100fps unplayable, hell no, just that there is headroom for another GPU...or two...if you go 1440 or even 4K.

4K for sure needs dual-SLI as a minimum if you want to keep it maxed out and above 60fps.

If there wasn't this price tag on all those things !
