scharrk
Hello guys Since the last Update on tuesday i have a problem with server hosting. Nobody can see my server in the list and can't join over ip neither. It always worked until now... Port: 10308 is open (also tried to open from 10308 to 10309) Already tried to remove the network datas in the saved game folder, didn't help. Tried to write my ip in the "history", didn't help. Firewall is off, didn't help. Please :helpsmilie:
HiJack
To check if the server is listening for incoming connections run a command window (cmd) and run the command: netstat -ano Look in the list for TCP 10308 listening. If the server is listening your DCS server is started. Then you have a firewall problem.
scharrk
Okay thank you, i will test this after work. I guess it won't help, because the firewall is off, but we will see.
HiJack
Well, if you see the port listening you don't have to do more stuff with DCS but focus on external trouble.
scharrk
It isn't listening.

Wrecking Crew
Check the computer's time setting. Make sure it is current. Wrecking Crew
Port: 10308 is open (also tried to open from 10308 to 10309) This is BOTH the TCP & UDP ports? Wrecking Crew
I'm running low on suggestions :) Make sure the Private checkbox for the server is unchecked... Check the Server Options, too... scharrk
The "puplic" icon is selected, what do you mean with options ? The server ip is same as mine and there are not many other options.
BitMaster
http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=133456 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=120856&highlight=gateprotect original thread covering ALL ports DCS uses. copy&paste: ".....Just in case someone who has a firewall with capabilities beyond that of standard Home Routers or if you run a DCS Server in a DataCentre with explicit network rules: The complete list is either here, and explained a bit: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.ph...ht=gateprotect or in short: ports 80-tcp http, 443-tcp https, 5222-tcp xmpp and 10308-tcp+udp game For a standard NAT based firewall like Fritz!Box, Linksys, Netgear etc. home routers you only need to allow the INCOMING ports to be allowed to pass traffic through to the INTERNAL IP of your DCS server in your LAN. The ports 80,443,5222 only need to be allowed to pass OUTBOUND if you have a firewall based on BLOCK-ALL-BUT-WHITELIST policy. Fritz!Box 's and alikes do not block any outgoing traffic other than Netbios and SMB protocol ( File Sharing protocols ) for clueless endusers security. Set the starting port to 10308 and end port too. You could, if it would make sense, say the endpoint is 12000, then all ports in that range would be port forwarded. For DCS you need to set start and and port the same value or may leave the end port value blank, whatever the GUI accepts. You need to define 2 rules in FB, 1 for tcp and 1 for up, their names must not be the same, call them DCS_tcp and DCS_up, thats how my FB looks like ......" Check those threads against your ports. Wrecking Crew
Very glad to hear you got it! What I meant by the Server Options is the connection speed. I think my server is set to LAN, and my Client is ASDL 2048 (? -- the higher one, whatever the number is).
