Reaper6 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 After years of loving my Black Shark, she would never talked to me. Until this morning! I set outside temperature in ME to 30C and hopped in the cockpit, and I look up and I see 30 on my OAT. I go back into mission editor and set outside temp at -30C.... :pilotfly: Thank you ED :cheer3nc: "De oppresso liber" NZXT Phantom Full Tower, Intel Core i7 4960X Processor(6x 3.60GHz/15MB L3Cache) 20% Overclocking, 64GB DDR3-2133 Memory, NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan Black-6GB SLI Mode(Dual Cards), Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4 Motherboard, ViewSonic PJD5132 SVGA Multi-Region 3D Ready Portable DLP Projector, Track IR 5, Thrustmaster Warthog, Cougar MFDs.
Devrim Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I didn't get your point. OAT gauge has already been working for long time as far as I know. Yurgon Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I think it became functional some time after the transition from BS1 to BS2. In any case, it's great to see details like this get added later on. The recent (1.2.15 IIRC) sound update for the Ka-50 rotors is awesome as well.
Isegrim Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 It worked for me from the beginning (BS1). Ill take a look from time to time when going into the mountains to decide when i need Anti ice or not. "Blyat Naaaaa" - Izlom
ShuRugal Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 OAT gauge was non-functional in BS2 until some time last year. Don't remember when the patch came through, but was thoroughly glad to see it working. There's a thread around here somewhere about it.
BaD CrC Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Start up procedure in my squad always include OAT check. Or at least the group leader will announce the external temp. This is extremely important for anti icing setup and/or to modify loadout and fuel whenever we got missions involving high altitude/mountains ops and stationary. This gauge is indeed functional for some time. https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
